Dunno if any of you heard...

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=261236

As people say in the comments, they have a right to play what they want. If anybody doesn't like it, they shouldn't play it.

I think that guy is just a big twit if you ask me...

HAHAHAHA such an idiot, next he will be saying ban Mcdonalds it is an un-British franchise. I meen come on, has anyone who has played medal of honor thought I'm playing as the taliban lolololollololllololloiolkoplo,kl no they are thinking arrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh that 8 year old is a noob.

i played a lot of the beta and I never once thought it was wrong, you don't even notice you are playing as the taliban its the classic red team blue team scenario with different outfits, no one cares who they are playing or who they are killing. They are just angry at the camping 8 year old who thinks he is gods gift to women even though he weighs 80 stones.

I guess I shouldn't make my "Blow up parliament and tear out the guts of every MP, then crucify the corpses" level for LBP2....

Such a catchy title too.

Seems like he would rather put a bunch of unarmedMuslims *Taliban* in a room and unload on them instead of having to fight them.
Guy sounds racist to me

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/40554/Culture-Dept-distances-itself-from-MPs-MOH-outcry

Yet a spokesperson for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport refused to endorse the comments made by its cabinet associate.

?Dr Fox was expressing a personal view and we understand why some people might find the subject matter of the game offensive,? the spokesperson said.

?There is a ratings system in place which exists to categorise games appropriately, in this case the game in question is rated 18 so should only be sold to, and played by, adults.?

Liam Fox has not called on his Government to ban Medal Of Honor, but instead has called on the UK?s retail industry to make a judgement call.

But the Culture Department said the choice should not lie with retailers, but the consumers themselves:

"There is a clear choice for consumers which they can exercise when making decisions about purchasing video games.?

That's just plain stupid.

No one cried about Animal Cruelty when you snapped a dogs head in MW2.
No one cried about Innocent Civillian rights in the mission 'No Russion' in MW2.
No one cried about Call of Duty: World at War having the Swastika or having Nazis in the game.
No parent cared that you can kill sackboy by having bombs and cutscene gas.

Why would this one game be any different?

It's war and people are going to use dogs for war. Nobody cares about murder in war. Same deal.
No one cried about Innocent Civillian rights in the mission 'No Russion' in MW2.
Haven't played it yet. No commentary
No one cried about Call of Duty: World at War having the Swastika or having Nazis in the game
Nobody likes Nazis or Swastikas.
No parent cared that you can kill sackboy by having bombs and cutscene gas.
Parents don't even know what a sackboy is let alone caring if it blew up. My mother thinks a sackboy is a dude working at a grocery store.

And this is just my personal opinion here but I hate Justin Bieber if only for his music. He has good intentions but if you seriously like his music... I don't know what to say to you. One Time? He's telling us a bunch of times. Gawd.

Now before you even argue my points. I agree this person really needs to rethink their argument about banning Medal of Honor. There are other games before that indefinately 'push the boundaries' and it would be unfair if this game was banned because of that. A game is a game, nothing more, nothing less. Games don't get people killed, guns do. Ban the guns I say...

Atleast you didnt act like a little kid when you talked about Justin Bieber, you sorta sounded like one, but not much.

Also, Guns dont kill people, They help, but they dont do the job 100%

There's actually been a huge impact, by this stupid man. But looks like everything has turned out fine and dandy!

This is a nice little quote that sums it all up.

"Should a ban be introduced based on a government decision we will of course stop the selling the game. Whilst we are aware that Defence Secretary Fox has a grievance that we understand, we have received no other similar feedback from our customers. The Medal Of Honor series is exceptionally popular amongst gamers and as stated in a response by EA, which we agree with, has always had teams of opposing forces in its content."

There are a lot of things people can do. Petitions, Boycott, etc. People united > One person.
If more than one person agrees with this persons' opinion, this game could get banned.

I didn't know anything about this up until now. This is probably slightly different but I've always found 'terrorist' factions in games insulting. not because they're terrorists, but because of the embarrassingly racist way in which they're portrayed - C&C Generals?2010-08-28 01:21:00

I would'nt exactly call it 'Racist'.
They just get the info they need and turn it into a AI. In what racist way are they potrayed?

The taliban are almost in every modern day FPS. So what if they are "named" in this one?

The issue has been resolved now anyway...

So, I'm assuming all the idiotic parents who don't know how to say the simple words: "You're not allowed to play that" will end up getting the game banned there, then.

Nobody cares who the teams are. Here's the typical online FPS' storyline in my words.

You're the only non-8 year old on the map. You're working as a special op, undercover on one of the 2 "Noob" teams to witness their "strategy". Both "Noob" teams have the same war cry: Random profanities that frankly make no sense. And annoying music.
Your team has the secret weapon! Friendly fire! Your team mates are able to fire their signature "Tubes" at you. Once you respawn, and you kill them for revenge, they hold a grudge, and keep repeating it.
At the end of the war, more cursing occurs, and you get kicked from the game due to the host's terrible connection.

Pretty accurate, huh?

Anyway, I believe that they don't have a right to ban a videogame for any reason. (Well, maybe one or two...) Do they ban movies? TV shows?

No. (Err, maybe but I don't pay attention to that stuff...)
