I'll do this review as I go along. (I'm getting a little tired of my normal Pro and Con reviews.)

Right when I jumped into the level, wow. I love how you did the scenery here! Nice use of cardboard and cloth.

I love the silhouette look where the title is. Nice use of glass glitch.

Beautiful cave, amazing what you can do with cardboard!

The snapping string on the light was a great effect. Another thing I noticed is that you use sound effects very well. Nothing is out of place.

Jumping into the building was cool, very nice.

I got in the boat and grabbed it to start going, but then I saw some points in the water back where I started so I jumped out to get them annndd the boat kept going. The way the cave structure is built, I couldn't get back to the boat without doing the "hold to retry". It was ok, but still I didn't really like having to do that.

Very nice use of the global lighting. I like how it changes when you get outside.

Epic Boss. Very hard though. Um... when I beat the boss and the platform came down, I jumped on and I noticed that it went down a little... So I jumped a little more and the whole platform fell. I couldn't finish. I would fix it to where the platform has no possible way of being pushed down.

Overall nice level! A gave it :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 despite the fact I couldn't finish. Fix that problem and you should have a near to perfect level here! (I went back and finished it in case you're wondering.)

OK, here we go!

Right off, I can see this is a beautiful level. Very appropriate texture and color.. Perfect wind effect! That's a rocket, right?

Nice platforming through the cave/ruins, but I'm not big on the invisible wall.

Oh, no! I lost my boat! I grabbed it, then changed my mind and hopped down for the bubbles... Boat's gone, screen's dark, and I'm stuck. Time for a restart.

Got back to the boat, and it's pretty, but maybe make it respawn if someone gets left behind?

Nice boss fight!

All in all, I'd say this level was very nice to look at and fun to play. No real complaints except for that restart.

Well done!

Just checking it out

OK first up, I think it needs a name that sets it apart from the rest (there were dozens of sahara levels) keep the Sahara part but add to it to make it a little more unique sounding, maybe something to imply that it is not simply a wonder through a pretty platform area, possibly Sinister Sahara? I dunno

At the boss there was no explanation for the fire from the sky, it just happens, I know it gets darker but I never really understood why it was happening

Also there is a glitch at the end in the highscore booth, my son kept respawning and dying immediately there with a crunch, looks like you covered too much of it up

Overall though I loved it and agree with the other guys on how beautiful and fun to play it was, nice job would like to see a sequel

5 stars and a <3 from me

if you get a chance take a look at mine, feedback is always welcome https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33728-Metal-Gear-Solid-Boss-Truck-Adventure

Your level really gave me a pleasant moment.
I like the way you designed it with almost only one material !
I like too the cloud shape, the sunset light, the boat in the cavern).
The boss is the less good part of this level (a little too easy and too sequential)
Morevoer you should add some pictures to this page.
Anyway I gave :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3
Great job !

this level looked and played nicely. i love that all your detail and nuance comes from design and not from a clutter of stickers and oversaturated lighting. that's been my favorite look lately... no hitches with layers and platforming either, so the design was obviously well thought out and tested. i have seriously grown to hate wonky cameras and broken platforming, so your care taken here really stood out.

i got a bit confused at the x ^ r1 bit since my failing attention lead me to believe i was doing some magical invisible grab material to step back ad slide down the side of the jutting tower behind the foreground where i wasn't supposed to go. it was so duh when i finally looked.

little on the easy side and the boss dragged a little, but it's a full, enjoyable level with alot of polish.

great work.

Now this level is artistic. The gameplay and visuals are amazing and the material choices are quite obvious as you used cardboard as part of the sand. The boss battle is awesome too. 5 stars and a heart.2010-09-15 00:09:00
