I actually had an idea for a game (that I obviously can't make).

Well, there's never really anything that different between shooters (don't start giving me examples and telling me that I'm wrong). I was thinking of a medieval shooter, with less 'shooting'. lol. It has all the basic elements of a shooter.

I started typing for like, an hour, so I'm going to start my own thread for it. Trust me, it is an extremely long idea that I've been thinking about for a while.

I guess i can share my secret i have been working on this for about 1.5 years now with my brother *he helped work on lbp*

Well the name *still under sided* but so far Mongol s

Platform: ps3
Type: FPS,RPG

well you are ganges khan and you start off like a lone warrior. It's like Far Cry 2 so it feels like your you always in the game it's awesome the camera never cuts out and you ALWAYS see his hands in every action like FCY2....

so like i said you start off a lone warrior and discover a little tribe which you take control of later in the game and then you travel round with your tribe killing/slaying all the other small tribes and then when you get bigger you get your own little town which has a MARKET and if you go out hunting or exploring and see some cool objects you can take them back to the market to sell or to go our "Maker" who can make weapons for you which are so Unique and then you eventually take on china's first empire

*NOTE:* now they are going to be heaps of changes it is no way NEAR finished but think of fall out 3 mixed with far cry 2 + Mongolians but yea there is going to be HEAPS of changes

Now, my bro is great at games so this game will go retail in the future

An MMORPG that had an indepth character system that actually involved your character roleplaying, e.g. your character could gain experience for things such as telling stories if you were a bard or sailing ships if you were a sailor or a fisherman. Each position in the world would be filled by a niche group, but each would practically be a separate game, with different genres. Those people could aid the warriors and priests in battles in different ways too. The actions of the players would actually impact on the world's story too.2008-10-21 05:41:00

I would be happy with another game with a twist as big as Silent Hill 2 - games still gets to me, not on a "Boo, I scared you" way that most games take. It really got under my skin and my partner actually didn't want to kill the last boss because (well, if you've played the game you would know). But yeah, I would LOVE another game to imerse in :hero:2008-10-21 21:35:00

I've always wanted a game that has the open-ended freedom of the free-roaming Spider-Man games and Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, but with team aspects like X-Men Legends or Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The Avengers make sense for it.

Imagine playing in a large-scale city, but with other heroes running around. And not like City of Heroes where it is RPG like, but just multiple games of Spider-Man/Ultimate Destruction going on at the same time in the same city.

Somebody would be Captain America, somebody would be Iron Man, Giant Man, Hawkeye, etc. Then maybe a villian would launch an attack in a specific part of the city. All the heroes would be notified, and they would have to get there. Giant Man would grow huge and walk there, Iron Man could go pick up Cap and both go there, and maybe some people wouldn't be able to get there. The key is teamwork and cooperativeness, but it would allow you to do your own thing too.

This is my ultimate game.

I call this game 'Dawn of Man'

Basically, it is a completely open ended game where you start out as a caveman in a hunter-gatherer tribe and you play through your own version of history, on a completely customizable planet. You create everything all technology (everything artificial; that does not grow without the interference of homo sapiens) with your characters, just like our ancient ancestors had to.

This game is a MMPORG, and as time passes, so does technology. The history does not have to follow the history of Earth, but of course players can be inspired by real life events. Obviously, people start to assemble tribes and claim territory. If someone already owns a piece of territory, you can overtake the territory either by killing the leader or by religious or diplomatic means (like Spore except it is actually realistic ). Of course, if you make a well guarded territory you have a good chance of keeping it since the planet is so massive. As more and more people gain their own territory, those territories can either become allies or enemies (or neutral) to other territories and they can form state, countries, or even continents. The territory can form a government if they wish to or they can have anarchy. Everything is just like it is was when civilization started out.

The more people that contribute to the planet, the more technology is built. Religions, clans, cults, groups, businesses, churches, organizations, or whatever exists in the Earth can be formed. The game would obviously constantly be creating patches to fix errors, since there are unlimited possibilities. You will actually have to work to create technology, as everything is made from scratch. You start with only natural resources and you have to use stones to create stone tools, use stone tools to create spears to kill wild animals, skin the wild animals for fur to keep warm (yes, your character will as as a human being: you have hunger, fear, greed, sexual drive, the need to expel waste, you get sick with illnesses, diseases, you reproduce (which the new players take the bodies of!!), ect. You can then use the fur to furnish your hut, making it more suitable for the winters. Ect. You get the idea of technology.

You die when you cannot survive the Earth, and you must start in a new human's body. If you can pick to be born from any female human you choose, so if someone in your group/family, ect is pregnant, you can easily start again in your old home, so no worries about losing your possessions. People can elect the officials if the government is a democracy, you can be owned if you are a slave, you can be ruled over by a king or a landlord as there are will be many government types to choose from. Or, you can make your own type of government that you wish you could live in.

You can advance all the way into space where humans can start to try to find other habitable planets, but it will be difficult to get the advanced technology, because like I have said, the players create everything themselves. There is a huge incentive to create new technologies and found countries, or make other contributions because like on our Earth, there will be history books taught in schools about the history of the planet.

I will edit later for sure, but you get the concept. The ideal would be that this is a virtual reality game, but the technology for that is not available quite yet. Here we come, the future! I would definitely live in this game BTW. :arg:

My ideal game is not one specific game but actually several steps in the console evolution. My ideal games will be when you have either effective virtual reality, or, at the very least, 3D holograms. Obviously, I'm going to be waiting a while...2008-10-21 22:09:00

Turok on PS2 man!!! Talk about unfinished game. I think the developers were so proud of their work they didn't feel they were worthy of finishing it.2008-10-21 22:19:00
