Metal Gear Solid - Boss Truck Adventurebeakeroo
Protect the new prototype nuclear Boss Truck from falling into enemy hand or save Snake or can you do both? Either way it's a hell of a day for the new recruit(s) Secrets to be found and 2 different endings, try and do it all and remember to heart if you liked it.

Hi, just thought I'd introduce my new level. It's only the second I've made but like a proud parent I feel it's a work of art!
lol, just try it out guys, see what you think, I'd really like some constructive criticism and if you like it people please heart it and/or me as I'm after the last few trophies as well <3

Really loving this game and looking forward to sharing some more levels with you guys.

PS. There are a few routes throughout the level, keep an eye out for arrows pointing you in multiple directions. Also when you reach Otacon for the last time, the part where there is a swing 4 grabs, why not try ignoring the obvious arrow and going up instead?

My thoughts are that the level was too hard at the begining and that the speech bubbles had too much text, I was also a little confused as to which direction to go in becuase of the arrows(I might have skipped something I was supposed to read). If you condense the speech and make it easier to get to the truck more people will probably complete the level. As well I think the Truck was a little to big, though the rocket pack made it easy to use and figure out.2010-08-21 02:34:00

Thank you, I think the reason many people never finished it was because I never had infinite spawn points on until yesterday. I'll do something about the speech as I have noticed people don't like to stop too long to read when there are others playing with them and possibly replace with short instructions instead. I'd hate to lose the swingy area at the beginning, I might instead remove the fire barrier in between the 2nd and third swing making it easier to proceed.

Thanks a lot. If you get time can you try and reach the area above the last swing? the one where you came out of the tunnel to Otacon, there is an entire area branching off from there that leads you to snake in a round about way (second route to snake) first one is via two player only by using the rockets to lift the truck as soon as you get in it

Nice level, but may need a tad more scenery. i liked your truck, that was cool, with the missile and truck controlls being easy to use.Nice job
oh, and i checked out bootheel_dudes level xD. I see what you mean. lol

This was a cool level, it has some very unique gameplay in it. I liked the truck although it was HUGE.

I think you could improve on your scenery/environment. Nobody really likes to see the bottom or sides of the level map. Also, there was one point where you used fire... electricity... and gas... one right after the other. This makes me feel like you were just trying to fill in there.

Overall I had fun.

Those are just my thought! Hope it helps.

I think your level really needs more scenery, especially at the beginning. Build some kind of structure rather than having everything on the bottom of the level. Your obstacles were fine, but they need to be more creative, rather than just placing a block of fire after an electric wall.
The truck flipped over while I was driving it down that ramp, so I had to restart. And I found it disproportionately big in comparison to the rest of the level. Still, it's a truck that shoots missiles, so it'll always be fun.
After finishing it though, I don't think it really resembled a MGS level at all.

Thanks for the input, I did actually use all MGS background, building materials, music and sound throughout the level (everything) I was aiming at an MGS4 look rather than the MGS1 look of the LBP DLC. I agree with the creativity part though, I do think I need to add more elaborate pieces in there, thanks again.2010-08-21 23:32:00

Updated yet again, added new area before truck, made the VR a bit easier and streamlined the truck driving bit, also took some pics

for me, it kinda just looks... sloppy, theres really only a couple of materials here and they kinda just loook like they are splattered around.
The level pretty fun tho, but the speech bubbles can be long at times.

lol, thanks for the input, seems I can't win with the materials, earlier feedback said that the old materials didn't look metal gear enough so I went with the more obvious metal gear materials, mainly the 3 VR materials but there is a bit of MGS embossed cardboard and gecko skin in there

what exactly looked sloppy to you?

Sorry this took so long. First off, I think you should try to add some more scenery and make things a little more dynamic. Also, some of the obstacles seemed to require more random luck than skill (Like the spinning things at the beginning. I wasn't even sure where I was launching myself to at first). More thorough playtesting can help to iron out some of the kinks and make for a better experience for players. Also, the second (I think) elevator/lift after the truck has a tendency to crush sackpeople.

I just plyed your level & heres my feedback and also I hope that big thing at the top wasnt snake because didnt look nothing like him lol.

Positives:
+Truck was pretty cool how you made that even though it was HUGE.
+Gameplay went real smooth no problems with that

Negatives:
-One thing you shouldn't do is build on the ground it looks better when the creator build off the ground & away from the wall.
-The obstacle courses I think could of did better I think It was kind of plain & simple and didnt match theme of the level.
-I agreed also with someone at the top about it not feeling like a metal gear level.

Sugguestion:
-It isn't the materials what makes a metal gear level its how you build it that makes it a metal gear level or not..i saw when you said you put some in there but its more to it then that..

Overall this level was worth playing :star::star::star:
