Need Opinions: Cars

Archive: 8 posts

So it is almost that time for me to be getting my first car and I've been narrowing it down. I've decided on these 3. The Mazda 3, the Honda Civic, or possibly the Honda CR-z. I need some experienced drivers out there to tell me what they think is better. So, anyone out there recommend a certain one of these cars? And if you do, why?

I'm not certain but I would assume the Mazda 3 would have the cheapest insurance and service costs. If you're willing to pay a little extra though you might like to go for the Honda Civic. A friend of mine bought one as his first car and they're probably a nicer car. I don't know much about the CR-Z but by the looks of it I think the insurance companies would charge you quite alot for it.

As a side note some insurance companies will give discounts for drivers who have completed defensive driving lessons, might be worth your while looking into it.

What I've been hearing is that the Mazda 3 is more fun to drive (and cheaper), but the honda is more practical and reliable. I'll have to wait for a few more weeks until I am back in town to test drive them though, so we'll see how they handle then.2010-08-21 03:56:00
