Messenger did not install due to problems with the installation of the essential part: Microsoft application error reporting, an error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT, Version="8.0.50727.42",type= Please refer to help and support for more information. Close all windows and try again. Probably another window is interfering with the installation. I done what help said and it still aint working.

Yes but it only says that if i have vista starter some programs could be interfering and that if one upgrade can't be installed, no windows live programs will be installed that's it.
