Archive: 9 posts
first things first go familiarise yourself with ViniciusBR11 (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=22161-How-to-make-any-material-be-like-a-mirrorurl) and Aya042's (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=23443-How-To-Avoid-Distorted-Avatars-And-Level-Patches-When-Using-Custom-Stickers) tutorials http://i36.tinypic.com/14nk7cw.jpgok if you want this as you profile pic (what you dont! why not) but dont want it squished by the evil polaroid template but! you also want it to look pretty well today is your lucky day http://i37.tinypic.com/15hg4mb.jpgfirst follow steps 1to5 of Aya042's tutorial but using mirrored dark matter and paint it white http://i34.tinypic.com/33dv876.jpg placing the sticker with small grid on (notice that the sticker is leaning) http://i34.tinypic.com/4ta44k.jpgto prevent this turn the grid off and keep reapplying the sticker until the corners square up (caution the sticker will eventually grow from being stretched so its best to keep using a fresh sticker) http://i37.tinypic.com/5bo0sz.jpgnow fill up the hole and change the dark matter into glass i recommend POTC glass but clear glass will do *UPDATE*using red glass will will give better contrast but will also increase the reflection*UPDATE* http://i35.tinypic.com/o8ywci.jpgmake it nice and big http://i37.tinypic.com/2a9b2pl.jpg(optional) use a giant LED placed behind the glass and play with the settings to get what's right for you http://i36.tinypic.com/bi75lh.jpgresults without using this modification http://i38.tinypic.com/23kw8cp.jpgresults with using this modification ooh hello handsome | 2010-08-20 14:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
Wow nice work Josh. That's quite an amazing quality difference. I'm surprised by just how much sharper the final images is, so much more vibrant too. This is very cool. | 2010-08-20 14:40:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |

Woah! I never would've thought of this. Nice work | 2010-08-22 17:41:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Just used this for the first time today and I'm very pleased with the results. I was already happy with Aya's tut, but it's even better now. Oh and to get rid of the glass' reflection, just turn the darkness all the way up. Since you're backlighting it with an led anyway, you don't need the level's light and getting rid of it completely removes the reflection. | 2010-08-24 09:01:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
