M Most off-topic threads tend to get locked. well thats kind of dumb, dont you think? because what does it matter if there is a single off topic thread? its not going to hurt anybody. if you have a question, ask it here if its not worth a thread. thats the thread's purpose.

If you have something to say, that isn't really worth making a thread about, it probably doesn't belong on a forum. Also, you can ask for no spam as much as you like, but that doesn't change the fact that these threads are inherently filled with spam. If someone has a question to ask, they can start a thread, even if it ends up with only one response. Having a dedicated thread to that question raises visibility and allows people to get answers to their questions quicker (assuming they use meaningful thread titles). So asking questions here is pointless and would indeed hurt people by preventing them from getting the answers they need /locked, even if you do think I'm dumb

@Tom: spam isn't allowed. So yeah. And historical reasons too anyways, now it's locked
