Multiquote Deactivation Broken

Archive: 9 posts

Multiquote is great. Everyone on the forums should be required to pass a test on its use before they can post (kidding!), but it's sort of broken at the moment. It works sufficiently well for selecting all of the posts you which to respond to, but the multiquote selection doesn't disable once you've made the post.

In the past, it would allow you to quote multiple posts, and then upon submitting your response, the multiquote selections would default back to normal. This is no longer the case. Even after you respond, your multiquote selections are left enabled, so the next time you try to respond to anything else, it will include these quotes.

Logging out doesn't remove them either. You have to go back and find the posts you were quoting to manually disable them... it's quite annoying if you were quoting across multiple pages. I'm using the most up-to-date version of Firefox.

CC or Aya, I could've probably just told you, but I kept forgetting. So here it is.

No you're not.

Strange. I used it just fine earlier on today. Is this still an issue?

Let's find out...

...

Yep, they are still selected. I'm not sure if it matters that I edited which bits are quoted, but surely it shouldn't matter, right?

Edit: Just did it without changing the quotes... same issue.

I am using IE8 (lastest updates) and I have the problem since a while.

I also have a problem with text space. After a certain number of characters or lines occupied, I get wierd scrolling problems.

lol, no reply for the first five days.

Yeah, I've been seeing this too. It's nothing too annoying for me but I hope it's fixed soon. Thanks for the announcement.

Sometimes I get this, sometimes it works fine. I'm not sure whether it's because of using IE7 or IE8, or maybe a difference between using Reply to thread and Reply with quote. This one is with Reply with quote, because the Reply to thread button does not appear.

Edit: Works fine with IE7 and Reply with quote.
