LBP2 GamesCom Trailer Breakdown [48 photos inside!]

If this isn't allowed here until deemed worthy, please feel free to move it for me. >.< Sorry if it is in the wrong section, but it's is sorta news. Now I went through the video using "print screen" every time a new screen appear or I caught something interesting. I ended up with 48 photos. So they're not the best quality as I can't run 720p youtube videos without large amounts of lag, so I ran it in 480p. Some pictures are naturally blurry due to movement in LBP2 itself. So without further ado, the breakdown! (With some thoughts...) I've condensed the images into packets within spoilers.

First image reveals some new stickers.

This image has the little bullet next to Story. We all know this was a story specific trailer with extra bits of info at the end. The fact that they do this bullet makes me think that they will go up the list and do in-depth trailers of each: The music editor, the controlinator, the cameras, the sackbots, and I'm really not sure what "Rules" would be.

This shows the Steampunk and Cake creator curator after having Dave Inchi drop his jaw while looking at her. Perhaps there's a romantic interest to be found this time around. (I made a rhyme...)

Notes: If you look at the lighting around the two characters, it actually makes a heart. :3 So cute.

Blurry I know, it was moving. This section of the video shows off layer changing. The brown/red blocks move in and out underneath sackboy.

VERY BLURRY. It was hard to get a picture that looked this clear to be honest. Can't make much out other than sackboy being launched from a canon.

What I like to call, "The Composinator". Also my personal favorite reveal for this video. This pic is before the piano roll comes up. Looks like this screen allows for layering as well as organization as well as timing.

Piano roll and options open. The bottom two speakers on the right with the "noise" coming from them are echo and reverb, and the option next to the balance is key changing (so far we have Chromatic and Major).

Factory for a Better Tomorrow (looks the same as it was in the announcement trailer, except Clyde looks SLIGHTLY different. It's hard to tell though).

So those are basically all of the little snippets in the new trailer. Hope you all find some tasty new features that I seemed to have overlooked. Speculation should probably be kept in the speculation forums...

Ignore the fact that I wrote Clyde the entire time. I'm too lazy to go back and fix it all.

If you look at the background, its clearly just an upside down camera.

The fern and tree are upside down in the background so... yeah.

Yes I know. xD I was just poking fun at the people who would be like "ZOMG UPWARDS GRAVITAEHH". It's bound to happen. :3

great break-down, thanks for making it! I loved how they added the baby sound with the happy big sackbot, that was hilarious xD. Also, I loved how they finally showed us a peek at the music editor and that one bit of the trailer showing sackboy, clive and dave inchi walking at night with the machine with the light pointing at themwhile it was playing sleepy head by passion pit was one of the most beautiful scenes I've seen for LBP2 even though there wasn't much detail to it. I would love to see more awesome trailers while we're waiting for the game and the beta.

Awesome analysis... There were a few surprises in there that I had no idea about... (Eve's an APPLE?!?)

There are some things that I noticed though, that weren't really "pointed out"... when Eve is leaning over sackboy, she is giant! Is that the size of all the curators?
Also the Negativitron looks completely different...( horns, evil eyes...) though it could just be a minion of some sort...

I'd love to know what I missed, and I'll gladly add it to the first post. I didn't bother mentioning "Oh new material here!" because that's pointing out the obvious. I went and looked for the more obscure things in most photos, as opposed to the blatantly obvious. But if you catch anything new, just let me know and I can easily just add it in.

Also, one thing I noticed a bit later after posting was the fact the lighting on the Dave Inchi/Victoria photo pair. The light actually creates a heart, giving further reason into thinking they like each other. ;D

uum, sorry to break it 2 u, but craftearth CANT be decorated, when you select a story chapter it will display the background from that one, and also a decorated craftearth depending which chapter it is sorry

There's a "My Earth" feature in the game. I'm not sure it's been shown what exactly it does, but chances are it allows you to edit the "material" craftearth is composed of as well as add in decoration stickers. ;D

Source is that one video where Alex Evans shows the Caterpillar Climb in Create Mode. He stays on the "My Moon" bit for a while and you can see "My Earth" to the left.

I think you can redecorate your own earth (moon?) which in turn can be viewed by others, but not the ones from the story levels. Or at least that was my understanding. The whole point was that when you visited someone's earth you could view all of their levels, pins and how they decorated their planetoid. I could very well be wrong.

There is definitely an article somewhere that confirms the ability to be able to decorate the craftearth. If you watch a Gamescom video and see the main menu, you will also see the option "Decorate" under both My Earth and My Moon. This proves that the craftearth can be decorated.

the redesign of your craftearth has been confirmed ever since the first details released on these very forums when LBP2 was announced, so idk how somebody could say that you cant decorate them when that was one of the top 10 things said you could do

You can decorate your earth so when people look at your creator "patch-photo-thing" or levels.

So far nothing has been said as to if you can decorate your moon or not - but I don't see the point for decorating your moon.

I think that the argumenty thing (up there) is caused by a lack of definition of 'Craftworld' 'Craftworld' is the story-mode LBP. It cannot be decorated. My Earth, which is where the levels you have made show up, can be decorated.
