Weapons Systems

Hello i am building a spaceship and would like to know how to do a weapons systems like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfNM8dEVMDs&feature=related i have some grab logic but i don't understand whats going on to well.2010-08-17 13:46:00

Basically, it comes down to experimenting a lot with logic. And then you try to break down your weapon system into smaller bits, and build each of those bits. For example, you could build different weapons first, and then build a selector which lets you choose between a few LED's, and finally you replace the LED's with the weapons systems. If you follow my drift.

Another option would be to wait for LBP2, as logic should be a lot easier to handle there.

Ok I think I know what he has done with that mech:

delay switch for the charge shots
toggle switches for the offence/defence switch
linked the toggle switch to 2-way outputs for each of the different weapons
for the direction switch my best guess is that he has made it 2 layers think and made a layer sensitive device in the back layer with a jetpack this is done by a toggle switch too.

That is my analysis of the video
