| Welcome to Achil Stories! Achil Stories is about a small boy of an odd, mystical race on Earth, who finds a mystic portal in an old tree, growing on a small island in a pond in the forest. He and his pet bird, (a cedar waxwing, to be exact,) Summer, swim and fly over to the island. Summer goes to land on the tree, when she falls through the branch, into seemingly thin air! You follow her into the tree, or more properly, into to the science-fiction fantasy world of Achil! The plot has not been very developed yet, but the land is half medieval fantasy, half techno steampunk. You find Summer back early on, aand she follows you through the rest of your journey. You meet a crotchety old wizard, or someone of that sort, and they offer to take you home, but the crotchety side says they'll only let you if you defeat the evil dictator that rules the land:....MotorMouth. MotorMouth is a terrible and sadistic man, who came just as you had, through the tree. After a few years however, the once free and peaceful land was consumed by his taint. Many opposed him, and many failed, but one man, who also came through the tree, came and nearly destroyed MotorMouth. This was not his name then, but none dare speak it. The hero cleaved of most of MotorMouth's appendages, Including the upper part of his head, but his healer and mechanics managed to keep him alive long enough to replace his flesh with machines, powered by steam. Upon his awake, he donned the name Motormouth, and has never been opposed since. As for the hero, he was thrown into the DeepHart, the cruelest and most productive incarceration facility that has ever been, considering it's at the bottom of the sea. The man says Achil needs your help. Find the hero, aquire a following, liberate Achil, and defeat MotorMouth! Hope you enjoy it so far! I'll post some concepts and maybe a poll for the protagonist tomorrow! | Ok peeps! Time for a wee bit of work on your part. What do you think your party members should be like? I have 3 ideas i know I'm going to put in. Here they are. Simon and Sampson Stormer: 2 African American blacksmiths that you find early on. Their sister, Yvette, was taken away by MotorMouth to be a slave. (NO RACISM INTENDED) They decide to join you to find their sister. Raggamuff: There is a race of hyper, fluffy ewok creatures in this world, called Utiniis. One such Utinii, named Ragamuff, is a social outcast in his society, solely on his voice and personality. While all the other Utinii run and play and SCREAM AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS, Ragamuff would rather read a book by firelight with a pipe and adorable little glasses. And his voice, what's worse, sounds just like Sean Connery's! All the other Utinii ridicule him, so he figures it would be nice to get away from all the other Utinii. | IDEA UPDATE! Ok, so while I was taking my adorable puppy for a walk, I thought about how the levels would go together, and how you would get around. I decided that that each "level" will be a province of Achil. The map is a top-down area, and once you reach a place, you can press O to go there. You are marked my a little icon moving around the map. Not sure what it will be like. There will be towns, "dungeons" and little areas in between that you can visit. To prcoeed onto the next province, you must do a couple of things in the area you are in, i.e, get the party member, fight through the dungeon, talk to this person or that person, stuff like that. Well, I had to post before I forgot, so enjoy!
