I got an original version i heard original version will be locked for playing online omg please tell me this isnt true, or will they patch it???

i would say MM probably has the patch so that you can play with it. the problem comes with does sony want that or just have the new BD out and pretend that the other one never was sold.

There is a patch, and I highly doubt they will restrict the online to new copies only. You should be fine.

Sadly, nothing has actually been put in writing, but I am in agreement with ConCart on this, they had a patch, so I'm sure that the updated disks will only be identical but with the patch, so I'm sure they will be compatable, just as soon as the servers come online and we get our patch downloaded.

So if the shop wich I pre-ordered LBP from calls me on wednesday and tell me they got the game in stock, should I go and get it? Because from what I understand you guys are saying that it doesnt matter if you go the original version of the game or the "new" one, wich means I can play online with the original version? Thanks in advance.

I might be able to get my hands on a copy tomorrow but if there isn't any confirmation by MM or Sony about a patch then I guess I won't take the risk I want to though edit- so I took the time to do some research and I found my answer (Go figure) and here is what I saw at Media Molecule's website under the news section Some of you have asked about pre-orders and early copies. Everything should remain as before - you will get your exclusive pre-order content, we?ll go on patching the game, and everything will work as if none of this had ever happened! I think in the end, everyone will be happy.
