NZ Release Date [provisional / unconfirmed]

Archive: 16 posts

For NEW ZEALAND

I can confirm that EB games in New Zealand have a release date of Nov 30th on their computers. This is I'm guessing a provisional release date, neither the game or it's special edition have a confirmed price yet.

I have been on the phone for the past couple of days to various retailers, and that is the only confirmation I have.

This hasn't stopped me from pre-ordering it and placing a deposit!

I believe it's also been announced November 17th as an official release date, tho not sure if that's everywhere or just NA.2010-08-16 05:10:00

It probably takes the boat 13 days to get here!! Either that or it is held up in customs/quarantine for 2 weeks!

Why oh why do I live at the end of the planet!

NA is the 16th. We don't know about EU or worldwide yet.

Um retailers in THIS country have not got that information.

Not 1 company can give me a price and only 1 chain can give me a date! If you live in the EU or NA I guess you can rely on what you have been told already.

But not everyone lives in NA & EU some countries like to put extra taxes on imported goods. And the time it takes to ship things and release them worldwide is a logistical nightmare!

So I repeat... The NZ release date (as of 16Aug) is the 30th Nov

Whoopee! We're the earliest country to wake up and yet we'll most likely be the lastest to get the game! WOOOO!!!!

Thanks for the info.

You will have to check with Australian suppliers/retailers. This date is subject to change, depending on the international distribution of the game. They are not printed in this country so will have to be shipped.

If it is like the Harry potter book/Halo/GTA4 etc release then all copies of the game will be in stores before Nov 16 in boxes marked DO NOT OPEN UNTIL ....

Man I really wish they released games worldwide on the same date.
I'll probably still browse the forums, pining away...
This is the -worst- thing about living in NZ.

So this isn't actually confirmed, it's a provisional date?

Hardly warrants a thread in news and media I think. Hold your horses until there is actually an official date, and for now, we lock this and move it somewhere more appropriate
