What makes an interesting thread?is it a stupid question like this one?the award winning thread making person guy?or simply the people who stumble across it.Share your opinion, that way you'll save yourself the pain of another uninteresting thread (like this one.) | 2010-08-16 02:19:00 Author: Balgarino Posts: 377 |

Balgarino, honestly, you need to stop making random, pointless threads. | 2010-08-16 02:27:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |

with Bremnen even though s/he has been here a month, they are already pretty well known... it takes activity, and the will to find interesting, funny, or debatable topics! take the scientific discussion thread, it started out as "this makes my brain hurt..." and grew into a huge sub-forum of people saying scientific nonsense...and threads like this happen all the time, i even made a couple, including my RP, The Console wars, and why do people even like mcdonalds thread, all of which have garnered over 100 posts... so the awnser is curiosity! | 2010-08-16 02:30:00 Author: theswweet Posts: 2468 |

Curiosity?well,l never got the answer to the "who came first, the chicken or the cow?"question...l mean the egg, yeah that's what l meant. So which came first? | 2010-08-16 02:48:00 Author: Balgarino Posts: 377 |
some stupid scientists have evidence for chicken, but it is more evidence for egg when you think about it... so most likely the egg that had the chicken but yah, scientific discussion already covered that... | 2010-08-16 03:29:00 Author: theswweet Posts: 2468 |
There's a question that answers two questions,can you guess it? | 2010-08-16 03:34:00 Author: Balgarino Posts: 377 |
Nothing makes a thread interesting, the interesting part is increasing your post count | 2010-08-16 03:39:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
Nothing makes a thread interesting, the interesting part is increasing your post count Yeah, that's what l say, well, actually l don't (but that's what l say now.) | 2010-08-16 04:01:00 Author: Balgarino Posts: 377 |
It makes it interesting when someone Pulls out random facts and shows them to people that relate to the post and then post links to wherever is relevant giving as much info on the subject as possible. If no one delivers quality posts, then what is the point? I believe the point of forums is for you to connect to a community interested in similar material. If you are interested in finding the point of threads and making it a thread or its own forum entirely, then great! But if no one is interested in the topic, the topic will not be improved on and eventually the problem solved. So the interesting part, for me, is that someone thought about this topic. I know I can contribute, so I will; BUT if I could care less about the topic entirely I will not add to the topic. Why add to something you do not care about? The logic behind this is complex. You could add for attention or potentially for being nice and solving others problems for them, or whatever floats your boat. In reality, The truth is mostly, The thing that interests you is the posts made by others. If none of these posts interested me, I would not reply to them. If you come into a thread with a blank slate, You are not expecting anything. You do not know what the topic is about so you are unable to judge it by it's "Subject" line. You read the posts and that is what interests you. The subject line may draw you to clicking the link and opening the thread, but it is not the thing that interests you. For example: if the "Subject" is "I have found info on a UFO" and inside the main post says "I saw something in the sky" It would not be interesting. If it says something with quality on the main post and quality replies, it becomes interesting. What Makes it Interesting?
