My opinion on the LittleBigPlanet Popup Shop in Covent Garden, UK
Archive: 10 posts
I went to the LittleBigPlanet Popup Shop in Covent Garden today to try out the game, and I have to say, even if you were in the beta, it is worth going to. They have complete (I think) versions of littlebigplanet to try out, and it was quite quiet so my friend and I spent ages playing it. The character customisation was huge compared to the beta, BUT most things were not unlocked on the save file I was on. Rest assured there will be loads of costumes in the full game! Smacking the other person seemed to be different - i managed to smack my friend across a HUGE gap in one punch several times! It is much better than the smacking in the beta, but i'm not sure which will be in the full version (the one I was playing was "work in progress"). We played a level set in a snowy place that was very difficult but great fun, and a level in a construction site. They were both fantastic and I couldn't be more excited about the game! There was a section downstairs where there was free refreshments like cakes and crisps, it was cool. And a giant sackboy! The picture is attached below So yeah, if you are looking forward to this game and you live in the UK, it's worth going to this place! There may not be refreshments on certain days though, today is sunday and I think it works a little differently. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b333/Sonikaos/Sackboy.jpg | 2008-10-19 18:56:00 Author: Crowlerzors Posts: 241 |
Sounds good, although I won't be going.. Were the refreshments free? | 2008-10-19 19:06:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
There was a section downstairs where there was free refreshments like cakes and crisps I don't think they do refreshments every single day though, it would be worth looking that up before you consider coming if they mean that much to you | 2008-10-19 19:11:00 Author: Crowlerzors Posts: 241 |
They do. I'm tempted.. Was it a "Take a handful if you're that hungry" kinda thing? Or like a few crisps every hour or whatever..? | 2008-10-19 19:18:00 Author: DrunkMiffy Posts: 2758 |
*sigh* going to london just for free food? lol. There was just a buffet that you could help yourselves to. There were sandwiches, muffins, wotsits, bacon rasher crisp things, flapjacks, chocolate corn flake bite things and fruit. Like i said, they don't have them every single day, so look that up first. | 2008-10-19 19:20:00 Author: Crowlerzors Posts: 241 |

That's different to the one in Manchester , the Manchester one I'm sure had a happy running sack. But good fun , but seriously could do with better customer service. | 2008-10-21 03:18:00 Author: Kyashu Posts: 447 |
