Here are some I have for LBP2(keep in mind I don't want to waste hours building complex machines)

Impact Switch: An impact switch could activate after being hit with a certain force.

Wind: Wind could push objects/you. Which could make objects/you seem lighter or heavier. Wind could be a Global Option and you could change the direction, strength and gusts

Water Material: If water was a material you could use it to keep it in/out of an object instead of the whole level.

Dissolve Tool: Instead of Dissolve being a material it should be a tool where you draw an outline of what you want to dissolve on an object so you could hide it better.

Weather: Using this you could add rain/snow/hail and lightning(which would not effect game play, just hit the ground and vanish.) You could effect the intensity of the weather using Global Controls

Random Switch: MM should give us a real Random Switch that can be hooked up to multiple outputs and randomly activate them
P.S i know the logic pack has this but it takes room and it would be easier for some people

Sticker Editor Tool: This Tool would allow you to create your own stickers or edit premade stickers and and give your levels some more personality.

Pattern Editor Tool: Just like the Sticker Editor but you would be able to edit materials.

You should be able to hook up multiple inputs to 1 output instead of making a complex switch.

Instead of making special items that we cant get and making us rip apart their objects (like the lava material) they should just let us have them.

On behalf of the community, I'm going to take a whack at these.

A) Just use adjusted magnetic keys, you ninny.

B) Wind was in the original LBP alpha - it was terribly buggy and blew everything around, though (even metals!). Good way to replicate this is to have things sway and fly past the player (like leaves off of a bending tree if we're talking -really- windy).

C) Physics engine says hi.

D) lolwut

E) Use the Global Lighting object and sounds creatively. Does wonders.

F) There's one in the LBPC Logic Pack. Learn to research.

G) ...mmk, admittedly, this would be pretty cool.

H) Toss a sticker onto a material! Boom! Done.

I) That'd be lame - we'd have to adjust to a new gameplay mechanic that's totally unnecessary, and, what's worse, limiting what a player can do.

J) I think those are coming. Not sure.

Impact switch is confirmed. Randomizer is confirmed. Destructor switch (destroys objects when active) is probably confirmed. Mm has an OR switch (group inputs to one output) made.2010-08-15 19:29:00
