The most scared you have ever been?
Archive: 24 posts
The Phobia thread provoked this. Probably for me, the first time I woke up post surgery with an intubator down my throat, was a horrible and surreal experience being breathed for. Spooked me pretty badly as I was pretty young, but after the 5th time, I got used to it. >.> What about you? | 2010-08-14 19:08:00 Author: Boomy Posts: 3701 |
The most scared I have gotten was when I was at this "Scream Acre" thingy for halloween. There was this room where blue and white was flashing back and forth, it felt as if I wasn't moving. There was two clowns chasing me and I ran out of there lol. | 2010-08-14 19:21:00 Author: AbstractFlesh Posts: 837 |

I guess getting stitches when I was about 5. That scared me badly, but now I have an eyebrow split in two ! | 2010-08-14 19:24:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |

When I was about 12 I heard moaning coming from the general direction of the hallway in the house. My mom was having a seizure on the floor - her arms locked up, unable to speak. I was absolutely terrified. And in a stroke of idiocy I didn't want to call 911, which I had in my head was used in case a masked monster was chasing you with a knife. So I called our neighbor and had her drive my mom to the hospital down the street - although that was probably quicker than waiting for an ambulance anyway, so... let's just pretend I'm smart. She got taken care of, it was a temporary condition, it passed, we all lived. But without a doubt the most scared I've ever been - seeing her on the floor. Was it a stroke, a heart attack? As far as I knew at the time she could have been in the throes of dying. I've been through some scary stuff since then, but nothing has even come close to scaring me as much as that discovery. I'm not sure anything will - simply because I'll never be 12 again. | 2010-08-14 22:31:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |

That scared me badly, but now I have an eyebrow split in two ! Wow, that's crazy! When I was four I bust my left eyebrow open and I got 5 stitches sewn in. Scary stuff indeed! | 2010-08-14 22:36:00 Author: WilsonLBP Posts: 128 |
i also was the most scared when i was close to death...twice the first time happened a few years ago. but before that as a child, i was always tired, thirsty, feeling ill, i couldnt concentrate on things, my eyes strained like hell, my vision would get sketchy, always needed the toilet, even if i didnt drink, and drinking didnt make my thirst go away, really itchy, always hungry too, i almost failed school completly. i was always late for school when waking up late feeling like crap...noone beleived me they all thought i was being lazy and in college it got worse. to the point my tutor suggested that i was diabetic. well when i got home i mentioned to to my mom why i was always feeling so bad and why i kept needing to drink and all that....so we went to the doctors and he came back and said i was diabetic in a really bad state too, he told to go straight to the hospital so my mom drove me. when we got there i was so knackered and i was there for a week or so as they were trying to correct my badly messed up sugar levels it turns out that not only am i diabetic, that i my thyroids are underactive too. the trouble with me though is no matter what i do or dont do its extremly hard to keep it all undercontrol as it seems to do whatever it wants...iv only knowingly been diabetic for about 5 years now. but had i not gone to the doctors they said i would only have had about a week or two left before it would have nearly, if not killed me my sugar was so high. i guess i was kinda lucky that all that time as a kid it was going up and down constantly and maybe my pancreas had not died completly yet..but it has now the second time was my fault, its not recomended that i drink a lot...i can have a pint or two then ill be ok but no more....well i haddent been on treatment for long and i accidently drank too much as i wasnt fully aware of it all and noone had really given my any advice on alcohol so i didnt think it was too bad. but i got drunk and got really sick, i ended up in bed being really shivery and punking loads, couldnt keep anything down. had to go to hospital for that. i was in my bed for two days before mom thought this wasnt any normal illness and she called the ambulance. if i haddent gone to hospital id have died that night....but noone had explained to me the effects of alcohol on a diabetic, and that its much worse for me to get drunk than a healthy person. they only explained eating and insuline and stuff needless to say, i didnt like nearly dying i still drink, but no more getting drunk though oh i guess you could count the time mre and a friend were walking across the zebracrossing and a car turned from a t junction towards us and didnt stop and he nearly hit us both | 2010-08-15 01:15:00 Author: Xegethra Posts: 207 |

hmm.. when i had a dream that i talked with my mom's mom (grandma) (she's dead now , and also was dead when i talked 2 her in this dream) i was talking with her, about how is the heaven, if i miss her and if her miss me, etc etc. when i woke up (in the iddle of the night) i've see a white thing passing in my front (and i just screamed loud WHAT THE F@%), but that was only my mind. I just started playing Overture and you remember when you are in that underground "bunker" that dog pops up patrolling the rooms? ...gah I actually stopped playing for awhile... | 2010-08-15 09:54:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
For me it's Black Plague or nothing. I played a little of Overture but from reviews and videos I saw, Black Plague was the one to play. You don't get any guns in it, and the creatures - hideous monster-people-boogeymen - are way scarier than some wild wolves. And they're right! These boogeymen have flashlights and they come looking for you. You don't get any weapons. It's hiding and running for you all the way. It's a recipe for success, if the goal is to poop your pants in terror. | 2010-08-15 10:34:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
