Hi, I actually stumbled across your site guys while searching for tutorials on the creator mode. The tools tutorials are good but not detailed enough to construct anything with. I'm actually very new to the PS3 scene having just bought one this week so far LBP is fun, except for the continual hatred of never have the material you want for the job in creator mode ^^ Just downloaded your beginner logic pack and I'm now making my first Cardboard world. I'd already started designing a concept for a Golf Course (intend to have it working, balls in holes and scores ) but that should be shelved til I have done all your tutes which are very good by the way. I do already have a question too, while Create Mode is paused it portrays a horrid rewind effect and accompanying noise. Anyway to remove it? Its one of those noises that really irritates. Any tips will be appreciated. (And in a cheeky parody....) :star::star::star::star::star: + <3 ;D

Hey, welcome to LBPC! I'm not aware of anyway to get rid of the pause effects so I guess you'll just have to mute your TV, usually I'm oblivious to anything else in the world when I'm creating so I don't even notice the sound lol, you'll probably get used to it after a while I guess.

Another question: When cutting away alcoves and such if I only want to cut a hole into Layer2, why does it also cut a hole into Layer1 behind it? How can I avoid it cutting Layer1? Edit I definately have the shape set to a single layer, and Im highlighting layer2. Edit 2 Ah wait I see my issue. The object im cutting from is 2 Layer deep. So you cant cut a single layer out from a 2layer object. ^^

If it is all the same block of material it will cut away all of it. If you want to have a wall behind and cut away the front you will need to separate layers of the material. EDIT: You explained it better than me lol, if you have any other queries don't hesitate to go to the help section of the site.

Hi welcome to the forums!!! :3 You cant get rid of the pause effects but you could probably cover up the noise with some music that you have on your PS3 (If you have any) go to the pause menu and go to settings and you will see "Music Player" Choose that and select your music :3

And thanks for confirming though Olit. I wasn't quite sure. Also I hear that corner editing is a better habit to get into than cutting?
