Most Iconic Community Objects
Archive: 23 posts
LittleBigPlanet two will be released in a few months, as you all know. However, before that happens, I would like to know what the moat iconic community prizes are. In other words, what community prizes are the most iconic? Some prizes that I already think of as iconic are the Wiggler Guitar, the Shark (from Distress in Ocean), and of course, the LittleBigPlanet Central Logo. What prizes do you think are the most iconic? ![]() | 2010-08-13 16:56:00 Author: Stoicrow ![]() Posts: 276 |
Poorly designed trophies that were given out in like every level around launch. | 2010-08-13 17:13:00 Author: Jrange378 ![]() Posts: 573 |
Poorly designed trophies that were given out in like every level around launch. Yes! That golden sponge trophy that isn't even symmetrical may actual be LBP's most widespread community item . Also, some other ones that come to mind: rz22g's Mitey Mite Tank (a marvel in my opinion because of how advanced it was yet how early it was made), Tinted's compression tool (the only community object I've used dozens of times), a widespread tweakable laser that was important for me before I learned how to make it myself, and feistyfrog's various well-crafted dinosaur creatures that amazed me at the time. | 2010-08-13 17:21:00 Author: Incinerator22 ![]() Posts: 3251 |
That trophy has been passed around so much, not even in the item info area it will display the original creator. | 2010-08-13 17:37:00 Author: warlord_evil ![]() Posts: 4193 |
That Rocket Duck on wheels from around the launch date. Anyone remember that? ![]() | 2010-08-13 17:43:00 Author: Rhys125 ![]() Posts: 841 |
That trophy has been passed around so much, not even in the item info area it will display the original creator. I wonder, was it made in the original beta? If so, could that be why? | 2010-08-13 17:45:00 Author: Incinerator22 ![]() Posts: 3251 |
I haven't actually seen this in ages, but the sponge Batman symbol is really iconic to me and my Brother ![]() | 2010-08-13 18:10:00 Author: Otune ![]() Posts: 131 |

Well, I've probably seen that trophy the most. It's so ugly, yet used so much! I did give away a "Blank Milk Carton" in the very first level I ever made, but it never caught on... ![]() | 2010-08-13 20:31:00 Author: piggabling ![]() Posts: 2979 |

I would have to say it is that gold trophy. It's funny when you get given the gold, silver and bronze versions for completing a community level. ![]() | 2010-08-14 02:13:00 Author: midnight_heist ![]() Posts: 2513 |
For me: The Cow Cannon by TOM_TOM1993. Winner of Nuclearfish's first Contaption Challenge (http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/LittleBigPlanet-PS3-General/LBP-Contraption-Challenge-Info-Thread/m-p/8618032). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=od8STYBmGZw | 2010-08-14 03:02:00 Author: IStwisted ![]() Posts: 428 |
Probably the shark and crocodile objects. Back on my old PSN account when me and a friend on PSN would make intentionally horrible levels, we'd stick the crocodile as often as we could without reason. It worked well in a purposely-lame bomb survival though. Bombs wouldn't ever pass the surface of water, so the crocodile would get you. | 2010-08-14 07:23:00 Author: Shadowbhiemes ![]() Posts: 6 |
The shark survival shark. Even I've used in the Liquidizer! (although technically I remade it) | 2010-08-14 12:10:00 Author: Nuclearfish ![]() Posts: 927 |
I seem to remember Jelly Beans showing up in tons of levels. | 2010-08-14 14:39:00 Author: thanatos989 ![]() Posts: 248 |
The most Iconic community object I have ever seen has got to be RRR30000's Space Invaders Arcade Machine. He gives it away as a completion prize for his Space Attack level (at least I think that's what it's called)... it's a fully working version of Space Invaders... with points and lives and everything... it's just a work of genius, I've tried unravelling the logic and just can't work out how he did it.. RRR30000 is one of those creators that they made LBP2 because of.... his arcade remakes are just genius.. his stuff is head and shoulders above anything else out there on LBP - and he never makes levels where you control a Sackboy - it's always a SpaceShip, or BomberMan etc. It was levels like his that caused MM to take LBP2 in the direction they did. | 2010-08-16 13:29:00 Author: Macnme ![]() Posts: 1970 |
