The Nicest Thing

Just thought I'd share a LBP moment with you all that gave me a warm fuzzy glow inside... Recently I've been adding lots of Happy Gadders to my friends list (initially to get the party person trophy), and I was showing off my Pod creations to one of them. They were mightily impressed... so mightily impressed were they that they invited me back to their Pod so that I could decorate it for them. They were obviously not as experienced at LBP as I was & it was a pleasure to be able to show off my skills. I jammed together a nifty theme I ended up calling "Sack-Hands Around the World" - and they were just so appreciative and complimentary... it was one of the nicest things to have happened to me on LBP. It's nice to be nice Just thought I'd share What nice things have you done for your fellow sacks? | 2010-08-13 13:04:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |

Well I have donated a fair few objects to my fellow gadders and offered assisstance where ever needed | 2010-08-14 02:06:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |
Well i have helped a few of my friends!! If that's what you mean | 2010-08-14 02:08:00 Author: shadow3596 Posts: 2442 |
People usually help me, lol. Then after they show me, and I fail my first attempt I usually say: "bah, i'll do this later." I get embarrassed. I did help someone with their first level (substituting on/off grab sponges for directional, some simple mag key logic, etc). They even thanked me by name in the level's description which was nice because most people don't do that. | 2010-08-14 02:23:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Nothing. I make it a point to be sarcastic, uninformative, stingy, and generally disagreeable where ever I go. I'm not truly happy unless at least two sack-people in my party are crying. | 2010-08-14 11:02:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |
Thats the great thing about LBP, it attracts all kinds of different people. Some nice, some not so nice. It's kind of like a stitched version of the real world! The nicest thing that's happened to me on LBP? I was playing through a level when I heard one of my songs from the music shop being used. This always makes me smile, but this one was special. The level was about the creators Mother who had sadly passed away. It was a very moving thing to have heard something that I created being used in such a powerful and personal way. That is probably the nicest thing that has happened to me on LBP. | 2010-08-14 15:19:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |
A_morton- That's really nice! I remember playing your Morton's music shop level (pretty sure it's still on my bookmarks pages) back before I even knew about LBPC, And am not surprised by the popularity of your musics. I get a kick every time I see a level using stickers made by one of my tools. I realize that a lot of it is plain old hubris on my part, but I'm also glad that I was able to indirectly help some one out. I think my favorite thing is seeing creators show-off stickers they've made by uploading pics. I think my favorites are the ones featuring sack-people mugging the spread-eagle victory pose! | 2010-08-14 18:52:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |
Yeah, I love when people upload pics in my levels! I wish more people did! | 2010-08-15 10:59:00 Author: midnight_heist Posts: 2513 |
Yeah, I love when people upload pics in my levels! I wish more people did! Like your Animal muppets costume on my Music Workshop level.... puts a big smile on my face every time I see. Yeah, pics are better even than comments | 2010-08-15 15:00:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
The nicest thingn i did was turn a really poorly built level to a moderately expert level (poorly built by a friend) and i didn't ask for any credit ^^ The nicest thing that happened to me was getting 30+ plays in one day on my explosive powered car level o.o all of my other levels have 5-20 plays | 2010-08-15 15:10:00 Author: TheOfficialVen Posts: 155 |
I think know that the nice thing I'm most proud of, is putting together the LBPC folding team. Even though the thread has died many times, the team it's self is still doing work to cure real world diseases! It's definitely worth checking out: http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt210/swanbrown/utility/LBPCfoldingteamlogo-1-1-1.jpg LBPC-Folding-team-a-worthy-cause (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=15286-LBPC-Folding-team-a-worthy-cause) | 2010-08-15 15:53:00 Author: swanbrown Posts: 898 |
lol, I steampunk'd a friend's pod. I put lots of metal items and pipes in there. Was a awesome look. | 2010-08-15 16:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
I have a girl in my friends list, she didn't had the story levels completed. So I helped her in getting the most prize bubbles as possible in every level to the islands, and also the X2 challenges and stuff. She once said that I was "her best LBP friend". | 2010-08-15 16:33:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
