So.... how much have we spent?

Archive: 16 posts

Alright, I just calculated the total amount of ALL of the DLC....(Well, atleast if you bought everything in a pack. There might be a few dollars of difference if you bought bundled costumes seperately).

If you have bought everything, including the Holiday exclusive packs, You've spent a grand total of......... $193.51 USD.

That means that if you spent $60.00 on the game itself like I did, you have spent a grand total of $253.51 USD on LittleBigPlanet.

Was it worth it?

Heck yeah!

Yeah, in Australia, we have to pay more, although I don't see why.
The American dollar is only worth a bit more than the Australian dollar, although it could add up to be like that. I don't know I cbf calculating.

Not really. I hate knowing how much I've spent on dlc (I have absolutely NO intention of adding up what I've spent on Rock Band). It's easy to drop $6 on a costume pack 'cuz c'mon, it's only $6, but that total is more than three new games. I've always thought the level packs were reasonably priced, but I really think the costumes oughtta' be about half as much as they are. Don't get me wrong: I love the dlc for lbp and I consider it to quite a bit more reasonable than most of the dlc for other games, but really?! As much money as three new games?!

Though I have to admit that once sackbots were announced, it became a lot more worth it... but still a bit pricier than it really should be. Ah well, I guess I've gotten more enjoyment out of lbp than any four games in my collection so I suppose it works out... but still.

@Sehven I didn't even think of Sackbots!
I've always avoided most costume packs since I love my costume so much and would never really wear a different costume anyway, but with Sackbots, costumes will become more important.

I thought it was more than 250 $ for the whole thing....

It is finally not SO expensive when i consider the total number of hours i spent on this game... Probably 1500 hours... What give use 0.16 $/hour of game, a very cheap entertainment.
When you consider the 70 $ for an action game that you finish in 14 hours (a la Resident evil...)... What give us 5$/hour of game...

Thanks Mm!!!!

PotC Level Kit - ?5.99
History Level Kit - ?3.99
Vera Bee Stickers - ?1.99
MGS Level Kit- ?5.99
--------------------------
Total: ?16.96

I got the game for free, so ?16.96 is what I spend on LBP overall. I did invest many hundred hours of my time though.

Yohohoho! LBP is the best! ;3 i have payed well over 150$ <3
i buy 90% of all costumes and 100% of the other kinds of LBP DLC,
not the sticker packs, I don't need more stickers thank you!
i can make my own <3 i did not buy that waste of money T-shirt and Cap,
i my self had no outfit uses for them, i make lots o fantasy characters n what not so yeah...
i got the game for 30$ and after having it the over a year and a half that i have,
i'm easily going to pay 80$ for the CE LBP2 and will buy most likely most of all the DLC Yaaay <3 *mew

I would say I've got at least half of the stuff now, except the $11.50 NZ for licensed packs.
Those are still too expensive imo. If they dropped it to $9.90 NZ or something, I think they would sell a bunch more.

Kinda sucks you need costumes for sackbots, as I have now realised most of the good items are in the expensive costume packs. :/

OoooOoh.... i did not think about that as i own most of the DLC,
I guess a lot of people will have trouble making good sackbots from not owning enough DLC,
hmmm... little sad but im sure they be able to make do with what they have
if they got a good imagination on them :O *mew

Haha some of my close friends buy most of all the DLC too :l
but when i think about it, i guess a lot don't, *mew

I had to buy most of the DLC 3 times (don't ask). So, it would probably be around 300 something bucks.2010-08-13 10:17:00
