I kind of feel disconnected from the "alpha" kids. It's like growing up with a set friends, being ripped away from them, then having them replaced with similar-ish friends who seem kind of unreal. | 2012-02-08 23:49:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |

Personally I'm not a fan of the fandom. I read HS and enjoy it greatly, and sometimes consider making piece of fanart, but a large amount of the fanbase just goes freakin' nuts with it and then you get DA cluttered up with countless fan art pieces of which are pretty much ALL shippings and sappy what nots. This combined with other major fandoms like MLP (jeeeeeese) and Anthro (*shudders*) make for a generally low quality popular page, but people like what they like, I just wish they didn't like it to that extent if you know what I mean. | 2012-02-27 00:26:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |

Why's that? ![]() It occupies and clutters all my pages in forums, dA, tumblr etc., I dislike the character design (if I have to see that person with the oddly shaped horns one more time I might rip out my eyeballs), and I generally just found it kind of lame. That's definitely understandable. Wow, I hate you. The characters are left intentionally vague, apparently. I didn't mean that hate thing, I like you! Something about letting the reader imagine it for themselves. Not "like" in that way! Why are you still highlighting these. I already gave my two cents about clutter, it's a problem :/. Just forced myself reading it all because of popular demand. Obviously not finished reading yet xD I always skip if there's too much text, basically i skipped through half of the entire thing but whatever. Oh >er, you should aim to reach the zen-level of confusion that most people get through reading all of it. Nah, but I like to read over it carefully, if you understand whats going on it turns out to be really rather clever. I also like to spot call backs, which is a stupid occupation but strangely fulfilling. ![]() Xero, a small note: its character design has probably got so popular as a direct affect of the popularity of the comic - as with all things. And the popularity of the comic comes from the character personalities, and an utterly insane storyline. (Coupled with a large dose of silliness.) So yeah, I judge it by those things rather than the unimportant stuff to get an overall opinion. On topic about update: I wonder who those mysterious people were hunting Roxy's meowcats? They look like Derse exiles, connected to Dirk's rebellion perhaps? | 2012-02-27 17:05:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |

Wow, noticeably more violent. I guess it's safe to assume these trolls are older (about 16) and holy crap something just clicked. The age difference between the alpha kids and beta kids is 3 years the same amount of time estimated to be the travel time for the beta kids/trolls. I feel like that should have hit me so much longer ago. So what is the correlation? Well, so that is supposed to be the post-scratch version of Feferi (I couldn't had said anything more obvious). I do not know much about the ancestors, or if they even are the ancestors. But, Why is she even trying to kill Roxy? Are the post-scratch trolls supposed to be evil? HUSSIEEEEEEEEEEE. I liked it when the trolls were friendly... in a certain way. Also, so a disconnected pannel takes to a world full of monsters, just like in Problem Sleuth? Doc Scratch did mention that the trolls in the past were less vicious than the offspring. I mean, I presume the older Vriska girl looked quite more innocent than the younger one. And Post-Feferi, she was the Condesce (And I have a feeling she's the Baroness too, for some reason) so I think she was more killy and stuffs? Maybe the rest of the trolls are nicer than her. Eh. I'm a Pisces, and I'm a bit ashamed that post-Feferi has a personality I dislike of. mm, I have the highest blood ever, so that makes up for it. ![]() Also, the term condescension means "Dropping or descending in rank or dignity that they have in order to give a negative impact on someone else." | 2012-03-02 17:29:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |

Hey Cyber. I'll try. xD I can totally understand how some people couldn't take it, its verbose, bewildering, baffling, unclear, perplexing, puzzling, mystifying, disconcerting; ambiguous, misleading, inconsistent, inexplicable, impenetrable, unfathomable; complex, complicated; and the more you look at it, the more sense it makes. ^Pro thesaurus use. >:? But some people like its complexity, the webcomic medium takes away many restrictions it terms of how much you can do, if you want. The whole thing seems like an affectionate parody of the Sims at first, but ends up as a story of coming of age and the Creation of the Universe. Its also incredibly silly. There is a lot of genre-savviness, unusual characters, ridiculous chatlogs and an unending list of running gags. Personally I just like it because its a great story. I am a reader, so I appreciate the depth, thought and spontaneous why-the-hell-not that went into it. Also because of its very unserious attitude to itself. It seems frivolous, and even when you somehow end up routing for all the characters, continues not to take itself seriously just to troll you, then ends up hitting you in the face with some intense revelation. >_> tl;dr: If you are reading the tl;dr, you won't like it. ![]() | 2012-03-04 20:39:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |

oooph, don't worry dizzy, some people just can't be helped. You were spot on. Let speculations commence. Supposed post-scratch Karkat dialogue with Dirk was interesting. What clicked this time around is that certain intentions and feelings about the sessions have flipped with the post-scratch kids. Pre-scratch: Everyone wants to play> They want to work together> Things go terribly wrong>People be killin' people. Post-scratch: A few are apprehensive of the game> Post-Karkat thinks it's about dominance> ??? > ??? Dirk even hypothesized about Post-Karkat's potential change of heart. Seems maybe even too obvious. | 2012-03-05 02:54:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |

Hmm, post-scratch Karkat's ideas on dominance are worrying. However remember how the past trolls wanted to go against eachother in rival teams? It doesn't sound so different. I think the relationship between the new trolls and old is going to be more complex than my previous ancestral theories. And I am not just talking about shipping. xD | 2012-03-05 18:50:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |

Mind telling me why you guys like Homestuck? I like Homestuck for two reasons: 1: Because it is about a videogame, something I do really love, and it has a nice story plot. Completely confusing, but that is the point of the story, and it is a idea nobody else has had before, and the story feeds my mind with awesome stuff. It also has a nice discography. 2: These: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mldr4sSV4s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOQWbd4-2UE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWDSMJ7oRtU&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_883772&feature=iv&src_vid=lpEsLDZg1U4&v=CUQTuNHQAuY | 2012-03-06 01:32:00 Author: ALEXhatena ![]() Posts: 1110 |

THAT MUSIC. <3 So, the time fast forward, does this mean Roxy and Dirk are in the future? Interesting. Also, Roxy appears to be living on something similar to the Skaian battlefield. And the Batterwitch is just getting more ominous... No, I don't think Roxy and Dirk are in the future. I thought the new buildings resembled that grid (which seemed to activate as she left) under the house, with the divisions of the four squares. If I remember correctly, only one of those boxes in the grid was activated when Rose stumbled upon it. So this crazy power grid thing must have some correlation to the creation of the grid of buildings we see Roxy standing on. | 2012-03-08 22:30:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |
THIS FLASH EXPLAINS TOO MANY THINGS. So this is why John thought of Betty Crocker as their nemesis, huh? And the world was completely flooded, almost surely by the post-scratch Condesce, as she is supposed to love sea stuff and all that. And Jane finally entered the Incisphere... I guess her planet will be related to cooking, or something. Maybe also evil... And, those Crocker grunt things... THERES SO MUCH STUFF GOING ON. Scratch really gives the story a different feeling for me... I really can't wait to see post-scratch Hivebent | 2012-03-09 00:04:00 Author: ALEXhatena ![]() Posts: 1110 |

I'm glad robot Hussie has been presumably destroyed, I couldn't take two of them. Out of the things I enjoy in Homestuck, the thing I hate is Hussie's multi-character between-act scenes, not because they look self-indulgent, but because they just add a whole lot more to explain in an instant, and are all non-sequitir. ![]() | 2012-03-11 10:59:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |

DAVE: oh no DAVE: no you are NOT making another shipping grid dude KARKAT: IT'S NOT A SHIPPING GRID. KARKAT: JUST SOME ROWS AND COLUMNS FOR A SCHEDULE. DAVE: its a grid youre drawing a grid DAVE: im not letting you draw a grid for this stupid s*** KARKAT: COME ON, LOOK HERE. THESE ARE THE DAYS OF THE WEEK. KARKAT: THEN WE EACH HAVE ROWS FOR THOSE DAYS AND WE CAN DRAW A HEART OR A SPADE FOR ANY GIVEN DAY. KARKAT: THAT WAY WE KNOW WHAT'S UP IN ADVANCE, AND AVOID UNPLEASANT CONFLICTS. DAVE: put the ****ing pen down Check the rest out. ![]() | 2012-03-18 22:52:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
I laughed so hard at the new pages. Check the rest out. ![]() MAHAHAHA! Oh my holy god this part (and the rest especially) IS hilarious xD | 2012-03-18 23:46:00 Author: >er. ![]() Posts: 785 |
I really laughed now. So now Dave and Karkat are developing kismesistude. I saw that coming since Karkat showed him the book. And Karkat was trying to draw a chart, and then Dave comes in to stop him and they end up drawing human members. How hilarious. | 2012-03-19 02:54:00 Author: ALEXhatena ![]() Posts: 1110 |
OH KARKAT. NEVER STOP BEING KARKAT. And oh, it turns out Roxy and Dirk WERE from the future. I am the smuggest of smugs right now. | 2012-03-19 18:04:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |
WTF, why was Terezi crying? D: And now I guess that disconecting a panel while you are crossing it leads to a dream bubble, since Roxy's wandering dream self was there, and John too, when he got ko'd, and there was a dialoglog where Karkat and Dave where seeing that dream bubble. Sometimes I like how things that were thought to be secondary elements end up being a important part of the story, just like I first thought of John's dad or Rose's mom, and the panels too. | 2012-03-25 23:26:00 Author: ALEXhatena ![]() Posts: 1110 |
Aaaaw crap, now we are getting in to crazy alien ancestry, this should be nice and confusing :/ | 2012-03-26 01:42:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |
I think this has to be placed on the OP for newcomers. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/160/625/tumblr_lpiwqw3WyJ1r18quno1_500.jpg By the way, I cringe whenever I see such in-real-life reenactments of Homestuck, and I went through this pain for you. It's just so awful. | 2012-03-30 12:55:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
xD Oh goodie they seem to be going to see either Pieces-whats-her-name or Terezi's ancestor! Hopefully Terezi's, I want to see someone new. ![]() ...HUSSIE GTFO. | 2012-03-30 22:54:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |

The end! YAAAAAAAAAAAY ![]() Someone said that Homestuck will end when Hussie ends, and I laughed when I saw Vriska in the background. (http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcultures/homestuck) *There's a thing going on with them* | 2012-04-02 11:11:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
Yeah, I don't know why, but that vriska face made me laugh for no apparent reason. We can only begin to understand Hussie's comedy. | 2012-04-02 15:34:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |

What the nak did I just watch Does Vriska say yes? I'm kind of confused by the face she made. They're both on LOSAZ. ![]() | 2012-04-03 17:21:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
I think her face can be effectively described as: 'BLUH' | 2012-04-03 18:12:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |

Where's the blue-lizard thing's skull? I've managed to do some of the puzzles, but I'm stuck trying to make 'enough light' to see down the huge hole at the start, assuming you actually can. Halp | 2012-04-14 11:03:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
Hmm, try this: shine Dirk's light on his mirror, go down to the window carving, hit the switch the light is on, pod inflates and skull pops out. Not sure if thats the one you need though. | 2012-04-14 18:20:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |
Aaahhh, I can't escape the purple cod-piece clown boy's potion wrath. ![]() Hang on, though... if John created the scratch only hours after they all entered, how did the the post-apocalyptic Earth and the exiles still exist, centuries after? Thinking about how there were both some pre-scratch and post-scratch objects, like Jake's bullets and stuff, the two universe instances might have merged together somehow. It could explain how Jack was killing the dream selves and preparing for the game before it begun too, like he could remember the pre-scratch universe. @Dizzyzebra: Ty. ![]() | 2012-04-17 18:10:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |
I think we saw the future before the new timeline was created. So, choices exist. At least, thats the rules I think apply to Homestuck's time shenanigans... | 2012-04-17 19:30:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |
If our predictions and expectancys for what happens next in Homestuck were Jake English, and the new pages that come out each day were Dirk's brobot set to professional, Jake is getting a severe butt-whoopin'. | 2012-04-18 15:58:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |

Yes, now kees. XD What in the world is this desert and how do people keep ending up in it. It's Tavros' planet in Sgrub, I think dead Vriska and Tavros are in a dream bubble. (And Andrew) | 2012-04-19 23:55:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |

Not being here for a long time. So let's start where I remember. YOOOOOOOO. Four interactive flashes for the Homestuck anniversary/Jane's entrance to the Incisphere? Cool. Then we got Dirk with baddas-rocket launcher-rapping robots. Then invisible powers, and Summonner logos on The Condesses' and GCat's foreheads. And afterwards nuckle sandwich, and bunny failure. Yuss. WHAMBO!!! oof | 2012-06-07 04:17:00 Author: ALEXhatena ![]() Posts: 1110 |

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14293468/homestuck-adventure-game My God... Is that a happy my-god or a sad my-god? I don't think I'll bother with funding this game, really. Another lovely money-spinner for Andrew, rea- WAT (http://mspaintadventures.com/scraps2/godtier_reward6.gif). So, unless the money is supposed to be sent by a large publisher or game developer, he's actually suspecting someone on Earth to pledge up to one-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh dollars? I would guess the tier reward would be a bit bigger than that, at least. Really, I do like Homestuck. I like the stupidly overdone plot, the flashes, the huge amount of characters with a big range of personalities, the memes. I like the part of the fandom which creates animations and images which poke some fun at the comic, Hussie and it's memes. Possibly the only thing I hate about it is the part of the fandom with their cosplays, their sadstucks, their music videos, their "enthusiastic" ships, the rediculous amount Ask [Character] [Sequel number] videos, and of course, the girls who dye their hair white and video themselves in a half-butted Roxy getup in their room. It's great that they're showing their love for the webcomic, but personally, it just isn't my thing to do something like that. (This isn't exactly related, but it needs a mention on this thread.) Unless Hussie does enjoy creating more Homestuck stuff, he was doing fine as he was. I'm hoping I'll see some concept footage soon too for the game. I think every homestuck ever wll rage if it's a prolonged version of A6I3 introduction. | 2012-09-10 16:42:00 Author: Denim360 ![]() Posts: 482 |

They said they are working in Afganistan and Homestuck is one of the few things that brighten their days; and that their money was 'there for spending'. I think it was rather sweet. ^-^ (Fan troll reward) Their fantroll looks totally classy. The top hat won me over. I am so glad we have enough for Mac support now. ![]() | 2012-09-10 17:20:00 Author: PygmyOwl ![]() Posts: 1316 |
