DraggyZ's Ice Power Vendor (ICE POWER THAT WORKS IN PLAY MODE)
Archive: 10 posts
The mechanism in this level, it just blew me away when I first saw it, it allows you to fly, using the power of ice, or glass, i had endless fun messing around with this machine. what it does is it emits ice under your feet that you stand on, and when you jump it keeps you in the air, and when you go left and right, its like a slide, you really should see this for yourself. | 2010-08-13 03:20:00 Author: Merc Posts: 2135 |
wow nice find it really was great fun. I would definatly like to see someone make a whole level based around this concept. could be......interesting???? | 2010-08-21 15:26:00 Author: Smudge228 Posts: 533 |
Very clever little gizmo. Feels really nice jumping and sliding around too. Feels... just as you'd expect a Frozone power to feel I suppose! | 2010-08-23 17:51:00 Author: Chimpanzee Posts: 27 |
My PSN friend had browsed LBPC, and found this thread. I was pretty surprised some people actually cared about this. Made a thread of this in GameFAQs, only one person replied, the level I made only had about 200 plays, thought nobody was interested of this. Anyway, this object basically gets stuck to the sackperson, and emits ice under you. I have also created one that has a grab switch, and and emitter, currently working on one that has two emitters and two grab switches. The level is simple, instructions with pictures, and then the real thing. Thanks for posting this here, Merc, I didn't do it myself, cause I was afraid people would react the same way as with dragon matter. | 2010-08-29 10:01:00 Author: Draggy Posts: 51 |
O_o That's odd, I saw Ninja working on this a couple of weeks ago... | 2010-08-29 10:44:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I don't know anything about that, I finished mine few months ago, you can check the dates on my level, can't remember the exact date at the moment, but I am pretty sure I'm the first one who PUBLISHED something like this. Anything similar I found involved the bolting objects to the sackperson glitch in create mode, nothing in play mode. | 2010-08-29 12:18:00 Author: Draggy Posts: 51 |
O_o That's odd, I saw Ninja working on this a couple of weeks ago... that was jaeyden and centurion, right after they finished dragon slayer. i was just there testing it with them and having fun sliding around like iceman. they got it working totally playable with tracking sensors and pistons, and not a single trailing blur or misstep... but hey... ya snooze ya lose, i told 'em to make a level quick. | 2010-08-29 13:34:00 Author: Unknown User |
I guess theirs might even be better, I didn't bother messing around with pistons, cause the first few tries I had failed miserably, basically just made a frame, so the sackperson can hold it on themselves, and some very small seekers to balance it out, so it wouldn't fall off. Cause of that, when you're moving, and close to another sackperson, it may come off. Except for the smoke, mine works nicely in one-player. | 2010-09-02 16:26:00 Author: Draggy Posts: 51 |
Yeah it's a combination of two already successful products that draggy stole used and took credit for published In the community just like the ostentatious name he gave the invisible material because he's a self loving delude. | 2010-09-02 16:39:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Kernel, don't bother posting at all if the only reason you're posting is an attempt to make a witty insult. And I already told you, I did not name the material I discovered under Oni. I asked people, both in GameFAQs and here about what the name of the material should be, since I couldn't figure out anything myself. After weeks of no responses, I named it Universal Glitch Material. Yeah, yeah, I know, I already said I couldn't come up with anything. When I told Baron about it, he named it Dragon Matter in his demo level. Later, he told me that he named it that to credit me, and, cause in chinese mythos, dragons were able to turn invisible. Now please, stop whining about it now. Not like it's my fault you can't come up with something original like me. And about my "ice power vendor", I made it several months ago, and I have had the idea for almost half a year. If you have ever seen my levels, then you should had noticed nearly everything I make is something to enhance gameplay. Object detector, brain powered car, grappling hook (which I made before LBP2 was even announced, so no, I did not rip that off either), emitter on sackperson device. I make everything in my levels myself, and I have never stolen any object, or an idea from somebody else. If you're not interested in my creations, then don't bother posting at all. | 2010-09-05 15:09:00 Author: Draggy Posts: 51 |
