"Guest" Player account

Archive: 12 posts

On the Beta, when I was playing with someone, they would make their own account on my PS3. They would start from scratch and all. That's fine.

However...

There was also a "Guest" account for them to choose. Did anyone try this one out? If so, what contents did said account have (regarding stickers, decorations, costumes, materials, etc.)? Did it just have the stuff the "Host" account did, or what?

It had everything the host had. It was also useful in avoiding having to go through every tutorial with friends when they came over. Just use a guest account and you can teach them as you go along.
Very handy for multiplayer creation.

Also, (I was testing this yesterday):

A guest has everything that the player has when the game is first loaded. So if I start the game, get a sticker, then my guest joins, they don't have that sticker.

If a guest leaves, then comes back, they only have everything you had since you loaded, and everything they got at the same time as you. So, if you load up the game, and start a guest straight in, collect A, B and C stickers, then the Guest leaves, you get stickers D and E, then the guest comes back, they will have everything you had when you loaded, stickers A,B and C, but not D and E.

A Guest can also use your saved costumes from previous sessions, but not anything you've saved this session. They can also save their costumes, but it will only last until the end of the session, after that they will be lost when they turn off the controller or if you switch the game off.

Guests hearted items also work, but do not copy across into the naxt play.

I hope that all made sense!

Cheers,

flak

That's cool Mongoose, what needs further explanation? All of it, or a specific part?

I may be wrong, but isn't Flak one of the lucky ones who got the full game already? Or does he really still have the beta running xD2008-10-19 19:57:00

Heh, no, I haven't been running my PS3 day and night, I was lucky enough to jump on one of the eBay copies before news of the delay and prices went skyward. Am close to the end of the single player story now and will soon be chomping at the bit ready for the servers to open so I can play online levels again.2008-10-19 21:44:00
