So, the past few days I have been trying to get back into MAG. Unfortunately, some people have started to ruin it for me. One match, a few kids start yelling at me that I am racist because my name is Spider-Jew. First off, I am JEWISH...second, even if I was not, I would not say that Spider-Jew implys anything racist. They were even trying to get me booted out of the match, even after I tried to explain. Then, in more frequent matches, people are racist toward me, because of my name. I know it is kind of my fault, since I put something on my PSN that people may have problems with. But, it really is not my fault. One match, the whole squad left, except the friend I was online with, because of my name. The disrespect toward me because of my PSN has been happening since I got the PS3. I usually ignore it, because they are ignorant and it is pretty lame to say crap to people over the internet. But, I heard PS plus might have a option for users to change their PSN. I was thinking about doing it...I am sure I won't, I love my name...but maybe. Sorry, if this sounds like I am whining or complaining...it's not. I just noticed this a lot the past week and kind of wanted some other opinions.

Ever since the nazi problem a long time ago jew's were given a bad name. Poeple may disagree with Hitler but infortunatly Jew is now comemnly used a Put down. Example: You're a jew Also, Cartman from South Park continues putting down jews which also makes the jewish religoun look bad. I do not agree with Hitler or South park and it is sad that kids would do this. Its abd enough if they joke around but if they try to kick you from a match it is just pittyfull.. When you think of you they are racist because they discriminated you only because you are jewish.

Oh, and TheChannel... you DO realize the Jews were the scapegoats of Europe ever since Roman times? hitler didn't just decide the Jews were to blame, he was following a path of 2000 years of blaming the Jews. He just finally decided to do what pretty much everyone wanted to do for thousands of years Ya...we had to build pyramids lol Ya, I mean, I am pretty tolerant. South Park does not bug me, they hate on everyone. And I love a good joke as much as the next guy...but when I am getting hated on by a bunch of 12 year olds, and I know they are 12, I asked...it starts to get annoying.

Man I've gotten plenty of racial responses from people online of all ages! But you can't let them get to you! Don't let some punks ruin your fun cause of your PSN, What I do when I meet ignorant people online I just simply mute them! Cause once you say something, that's when they start saying horribly annoying things to you and it won't stop till you've left the match or turned off your console.And I think the name Spider Jew is hilarious! So if you change your name, that's when those punks win! So stay true to yourself and let nobody get you down!

It just shows the difference in maturity levels, I never really pay attention to people PSN ID's but even if I do I don't usually give them a second glance. When I see your name I never really link the idea of the word Jew to anything other than the fact you are Jewish. I will admit though that I hate it when people put names like "Theglisteninghomo" or "CODfemale" just because they are looking for attention, they are wanting people to make a reaction, obviously if you say "I'm homosexual" you are just wanting to get attention and have people send you hate mail. If you say your female your wanting the composite reaction, you want people to start stalking you while you are playing. Some people do the same thing with putting different religions in their ID's, but usually they are names like, "God_hates_Muslims" and it really makes me sad when someone would try to hurt someone through their name. Now your name is not like these, your just stating your religion and thats OK by me, it is disappointing that people would discriminate against you just due to that fact. The fact of the matter is that everyone in the game will be different ages religions races etc, it isn't possible to know these facts unless they tell you. But there is almost guaranteed to be someone who is different to you in religion or race, but you wouldn't discriminate against them because you don't know. I can't really say much more, but don't let them get to you, if they discriminate against you just remember that your the bigger person.

Being proud of your own origins, whatever they are, and being just yourself does you honor, buddy. That's all. People is afraid of calling theirselves racist while they are. And anyway, you can't expect a lot of tollerance from people that play obsessively war games. (I play and enjoy them, but I absolutely don't like to go online and find repressed kids shouting noobs here, noobs there, I found it really annoying) So, do what you like to do and be proud! You're fine man, others are not.

It doesnt really have to do with race or religion with kids who have a vague definiton of racism it just so happens one particularly out going (stupid) one will speak out and call you racist, now 12 year olds don't have a mind of there own and if they do its buried deep under the need to conform so naturally they will all immidiatly jump on the accusation wagon and since they have the majority they now think themselves rightouse and can then walk away (or leave game) thinking they're saints congratulations

Someone should consider though putting those kids in an institution for ****ed up kids, to put it bluntly.

One of the bigger problems is that the term racist is thrown around so much that the true meaning of it gets lost. It's now a way for people to shut other people down. Horrible name calling is now the in thing in politics. Calling someone a racist, or calling a particular party racist, or calling people from a certain geographical region racist...it's all a way of destroying any possibility for debate. Sorry, as much as I hate racists, I also hate it when people toss the word out like a grenade.

It bothers me when people say "What a Jew" but if I hear a joke about Jewish people I laugh just as much as the next guy. An example being a family guy episode where it shows the Jews building the pyramid and one says something like "From here on out we will have it easy!" I laughed so hard.
