Anti-Heart List and other Suggestions

Anti-Heart List

As we all know, we can heart things in LittleBigPlanet to make them easier to find. But, I was thinking that another very useful feature would be an "anti-heart" list. This would essentially be a block list- anything anti-hearted would not show up anywhere unless you allowed anti-heated stuff. I think this would be good for levels- if there were spam levels you didn't like, you could put them on the anti-heart list and it wouldn't show up anymore (outside of the anti-heart list). However, I also thought that it would be good to be able to block certain communtity members as well, if they only posted spam levels. You could also block certain (official) stickers if you felt like you were never going to use them.

Multi-Search and Search Blocking

I think that the current searching is good, but I think it would be better if you could search with multiple catgories at once. For example, you could search with "highest rated" and "most hearted". You could even try searching more than two categories- if you want to find the newest, highest rated, most hearted, and 'brilliant' level, you could.
However, I also think you should be able to block certain terms when text searching, like "bomb" or "shark". Another very useful search option would be "block frequently republished levels?"

New Emitting Effects

In LBP2, it's been confirmed that there will be new emitter effects, like exploding, abruptly and silently vanishing, or the classic vaporize affect from the original LittleBigPlanet. However, I've thought of several new effects. I think a great affect would be a "fade" affect, where emitted and demitted objects would fade in and out of view. (Game engine wise, they would instantly vanish, but the effect would be cool visually.) This could be use for making awesome Wario Land style wall-vanishing effects for houses or tunnels in a cliff, or something. Another cool effect would be an object lighting up, making a bzzzZZZZZZZ sound, then exploding.

Weather Effects

I'm almost certain this has already been suggested, but I thought I'd include it anyway. I would love to be able to affect the weather in my levels. It would be great if we could make it rain or snow. However, it would be purely aesthetic- it would not affect gameplay. Weather would be a global setting, of course. The rain drops would hit blocks and splash, but no water would accumulate. Similarly, snow could fall, but it would not accumulate either. The intensity of weather could be adjusted. It would range from a drizzle and light snowfall to monsoon rains and blizzards.
Another improvement that I hope is made is with the "fogginess" action. I hope they make the fog more realistic: it swirls around, follow the motion of the player or objects. I would want a "visibility" setting where the player could chose how far into the fog around the player that player could see. Using low visibility and some creepy sound affects, this could create some very tense moments.

Split-Screen

LBP2 needs multilayer, seamless, split screen mechanics. I've played some of the noteworthy "two players only" levels, and they were good, but I began to think would much better they could be with split screen. Think: Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga-type times two challenges, where the players are far away from each other.

Those are all my suggestions, for now. What do you think?

Good ideas!
However we already do have a form of split-screen in levels whilst playing online in LBP2.
There is an option to make each player have a seperate camera (as in Online Create)

I like all of these suggestions, especially weather. It'd be much easier than emitting LEDs or making water splash. The block list would certainly help so you don't end up seeing certain people's levels when you don't want to.2010-08-12 15:27:00

Ya...because a Fog option would be great.. and rain too
Well... i mean a rolling fog that sticks close to the ground..for dramatic levels.

I've been shouting out for filters for searches for so long... one of them being "creator block list"... but YOU get it heard...

The other ones weren't so brilliant (), but when the antihearts arrive, you could kill the system already...
Imagine when two clans get to war or other such... ugh.
