Borderland's Claptrap's New Robot Revolution DLC!!

Archive: 19 posts

Thats right the 4th and final DLC pack is here!

The "fists-of-fury-filled" DLC is set for release at some point this September, costing you 800 Microsoft Points. The press release Gearbox sent out also confirms that the fourth add-on pack will be the last, described by 2K's president Christoph Hartmann as being "the perfect bookend to the original game."

The press release, quoted below, confirms a lot of the details from the aforementioned link about the DLC's plot and what new additions it contains:

Claptrap?s New Robot Revolution invites single-player and co-op fans back to try to suppress a deadly Claptrap revolution using one of four infamous vault hunters. The foursome find themselves caught in the crosshairs of a deadly civil war between the Hyperion Corporation?s well-armed armadas and the ever-amassing army of homicidal Claptraps led by one of the most eagerly awaited characters in the franchise?s history - the cunning Ninja Assassin. As vault hunters, players must put aside their past differences with the Hyperion Corporation, namely the organization?s repeated attempts to wipe them from existence. For a hefty payday, they will join forces to help beat down the mechanical uprising and thwart the dastardly kung-fu expert, the Claptrap known only as Ninja Assassin.

Like its add-on predecessors, Claptrap?s New Robot Revolution offers extensive co-op integration that seamlessly melds single and multiplayer experiences, and incorporates the most explosive role-playing shooter fun imaginable. Claptrap?s New Robot Revolution will provide more than 20 new missions to loot and tons of fresh enemies to blast through, including original boss battles, waves of homicidal Claptraps, well-armed Hyperion soldiers, and local creatures that have been Claptrap-ified - including crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-trapps. Fans can earn an additional 10 skill points for a total of 71 available skill tree points, and three more backpack slots for additional blood-yielding weapons and many hours of enjoyment.

Why is that?

Well after playing it solidly for like, 3 months, I kinda got tired of it.

I still need to get General Knoxx....

I hope this one has new guns too. New guns would definitely sell it for me. Then again, ninja assassin claptrap pretty much sells it to me too.

Will be awesome but it'll be even better if they increase the level cap again and they add a Crawmerax 2, maybe we can play when it comes out?!? Hopefully they should start work on a sequel now doubt it'll come out till 2012 if they are we can play borderlands 2 whilst the world is coming to an end :L and i heard they recently copyrighted the name Borderworlds?!? Will that be the name of borderlands 2?2010-08-15 15:50:00

Hmmm, not too sure. But, it brings up a good point. I think for a sequel I would like to see the same general style of gameplay (with much more depth, and polish)... But, I think I would prefer if it took place in an entirely different universe.

Oh, what issue? Should I know anything before contemplating a purchase?

Um...I Stated the issue. It was with moxxi's underdome or something, you'd play for hours and if you died you had to start all over, moxxi had no save system in it.

Well, I meant more specifically what the issue was. Anyways, thanks... Sounds like I should look at that first.
