What anti-virus software are you currently running? Be aware that some programs will "advertise" their services via internet pop-ups that say you have x amount of viruses so you'll panic and buy their product. You may have viruses and maybe even some mal or spyware, hence you might need to update or even upgrade your protection software, if you have any. | 2010-08-12 04:03:00 Author: BabyDoll1970 Posts: 1567 |
That program itself is the virus. Get yourself some real anti-spyware/anti-virus protection. Webroot's Spysweeper with anti-virus is pretty good. Of course, there are always free alternatives, try taking a look at this thread for good applications to help clean up the computer. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=30368-LBPC-s-Freeware-Program-list | 2010-08-12 04:11:00 Author: Enlong3 Posts: 357 |

Ok gramps, I'm gonna give you some advice. First, delete that Wireshark program. Then, scan the system with that trend micro anti-virus thing of yours. Make sure to update it first then run a full scan of the system. Delete whatever it finds and see what remains. | 2010-08-12 04:18:00 Author: Enlong3 Posts: 357 |

I will try it ok God hopes this works Have any more options for incase so like that I can have a backup plan. edit it doesn't work it says this. You can no longer download any more security updates. Your computer may begin to perform slowly and erratically as virus and spyware begin to infest the hard drive and memory. And it says I have to pay to re-new it and im not doing that I need a backup plan anyone? | 2010-08-12 04:22:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
I will try it ok God hopes this works Have any more options for incase so like that I can have a backup plan. Just try to do what I suggested and see if that works. If you are unable to delete the program yourself, you can try to let trend micro detect it and see if it can delete it for you. If the scan doesn't work properly you can try going into safe mode and then scanning it from there. | 2010-08-12 04:26:00 Author: Enlong3 Posts: 357 |

I will try to update it but I just put an edit on my last comment and it doesn't work I need to pay to renew it. | 2010-08-12 04:32:00 Author: Arnald23 Posts: 1843 |
Your computer may begin to perform slowly and erratically as virus and spyware begin to infest the hard drive and memory. . Trend Micro is saying this? If Trend Micro isn't too outdated you can try scanning without updating it and see if it can pick up anything. If it hasn't been updated for about a year, I would suggest downloading and installing some of the free PC Security utilities mentioned in the thread above and see if they can effectively stop the infestation. Just a future note, ALWAYS have spyware/virus protection when you surf the web. This means paying a yearly subscription for a good program that will end up saving you time and money in the future. NEVER EVER go without virus protection and ALWAYS keep it current. | 2010-08-12 04:34:00 Author: Enlong3 Posts: 357 |
You probably will have to go to safe mode to get rid of it. Someone I know got something similar and it disabled any ability to remove that program or launch their anti-virus to simply remove it. On that thread suggested above, look for a free anti-virus software, I suggest getting one of those. Another way is in searching the web, you should find something out there that should be free and simple to remove that program. Simply search on Wireshark AntiVirus and you will find several links to places that can give you detailed instructions in how to remove. | 2010-08-12 04:43:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
