It's also been available here (UAE) since the 15th.

Just because they were able to bring it into the region, doesn't mean that we're not offended.
In fact, if the government found out about this, this game would have been banned.

It doesn't really surprise me. No matter your affiliation in a group, there will always be someone who is offended in the worst way and another person - a part of the same group mind you - that doesn't see what all the fuss is about.

For instance, I'm an albino. You wouldn't believe how many people are offended for me when certain comments are made. They'll say, "Oh, I can't believe they would say something so insensitive to you! Wow, what nerve!" All the while, I'm sitting back laughing because I can't believe how worked up people can get over something that doesn't concern them. All my life this has gone on.

In summation, my point is that I laugh when people make a joke or remark about my albinism. Others might not be so relaxed about such comments. Is there a line? Absolutely. However, it's different for every person within the given group.

That makes it even funnier. Another Muslim country where you can buy LBP. Sounds to me like your saying it offends the oppressive government more than anyone else.2008-10-18 17:26:00

You see, this is because you don't understand how these companies get these games.

The available copies aren't in official providers, they're circling around our "black market".
And who's selling the games?
Namely, Indians.

And how many of them know anything about these games they're selling?
Besides the title, close to none.

Now, don't try spinning this the wrong way and telling me that I'm racist, I'm giving you a fact from living here.
These guys know nothing of the ongoings of the gaming industry; therefore, when something like this occurs, there's nothing stopping them from selling these types of games because they don't know.

Oppressive government?
Oh yes, that's right... that's because we don't have it labeled as "democracy".

Your location is Al-Qaeda? I only ask because I think some may be offended by your self-association with suspected terrorist organizations.

Completely agree. I find that offensive and I think it should be removed. Unless there really is some place called Al-Qaeda, which I have never heard of.

The reason the game got recalled is because it offended Muslims. It looks like one of the few places you can buy it is in Muslim country's. Its kind of like an oxymoron. Two things that shouldn't be together.2008-10-19 00:16:00

From memory, Kuwait and UAE are two of the more liberal states in the middle-east.
You think their governments are oppressive? We all live in countries without LBP right now
I admit that it's still a little ironic these countries have LBP, but I implore you all to get the idea out of your head that Muslims are oppressive by nature.

I admit I don't know the nature of Kuwait or the UAE's Governments! I'm just going on what ScytheOfGrim said: "In fact, if the government found out about this, this game would have been banned." I find that oppressive, That is what I was referring to. I live in the US and at times I find my government oppressive. I don't agree with my government all the time! We should all be free thinkers and not just listen to our government. PS this weekend is your last chance to register to vote in California! Lets exercise our freedom!2008-10-19 03:49:00

yeah i hate to rain on anyones day but i to think it should be removed...just so that it doesn't cause any problems with people...and yes unless there is a location with that name its just to get a rise out of people, and it does offend me.

Yea I thought that that post would already have been removed. After Harrisment commented. I thought supersickie had a point in his first post, I don't know what he was thinking in his second post.2008-10-19 04:36:00
