Civilization Revolution

I've been thinking about this the last week or so. Making Civilization Revoultion for LBP2. For those who've played it, does it seem possible to do?

Main thing I'd have to do:
1. Turn based gameplay
2. Leveling up system
3. Allow "building" of buildings, people, weapons, transportation, and wonders.
4. Growth of cities
5. And much more!

Still possible?

You wouldn't really need a level saving feature. You could unlock stickers to get your old stuff back quickly.

Anyway, it might work. I'm not sure how to go turn-based aside from simply getting locked in a box on the other side's turn. Building and expanding cities would be pretty simple, it would just require a logic box building selector and a sticker "key. It might even be possible to build this in LBP one, so it will almost certainly be possible in LBP2.

Recreating the popit during gameplay is possible so you can have menus and sub menus that activate certain stuff also.2010-08-12 07:56:00

I don't know, ive played the game, and I know theres a lot of features in civilization, if you were going too, you might have some issues with city advancement, and I don't know how you would get anything different than a domination, or maybe an economic victory, but it would still be possible, i dont know, we'll see when LBP2 comes out, its hard to decide since we dont know too much about the game2010-08-13 02:06:00

It would definitely have to be a simpler, more limited version of the game. Maybe have a limit on how many movable objects, therefore the player would strategically purchase the objects in order to win. There'd also be fewer buildings, possibly bump the number of civilizations to 3, etc. I sounds harder everyday, but LBP2 seems more amazing everyday! 2010-08-14 17:46:00

I was going to make a turn based strategy game but it got too complicated. If I were you I would keep things as simple as possible. I would also make it multiplayer only so you wouldn't have to create any complex AI. It sounds awesome though and I'll be sure to play it.2010-08-14 20:37:00

I agree with making it multiplayer only. Yet allow for 2-4 player games. So, if you're shorthanded, you could play a quicker, two-player game.

On another note, it may have been hard in the first LBP, but we've got a sequel now!
