LBP 2 at Gamescom - Story Trailer and Pictures

When the adventure trailer was released Media Molecule said they were going to announce more information on LBP2 at Gamescom(Gamescom is from Tuesday till Sunday) what do you think they'll announce?

What's Been Announced So Far:



They have confirmed a brand new music creation tool making it much easier to make your own music for your levels!

A brand new trailer to feast your eyes on!


Hopefully we'll find out more info in the days to come...

Of particular mentions, a lot of pics show the Move support and the new revamped POD, which I really love!

Long fluffy caterpillar sequence. He dies once and re-spawns hidden on the screen, so you cannot see what 'trick' of whatever they use to make him re-spawn in the vehicle of sorts.
NOTE: I am not very good with wording my sentences so please don't point out its the controlinator or anything because I do know the new features.

Ermmm I think it is the hand-made arcade due to it being set in the arcade we have seen in the trailer. Player spends a brief time playing on the different games and then activates a level link badge.

Low gravity in effect here. Either set in a breaking space ship or a crumbling 'factory of a better tommorow' IMO.EIther way some nice breaking effects on show here... lolz. Actually since the dude at the beginning (who I think is clive... I don't know *holds head in shame and runs*) says 'escape pods' it's making me lean towards the spaceship idea. Maybe it's set in that giant sack ship that is shown in the trailers..

Maybe they'll reveal more about the Power Gloves, seeing as so far most power up related info has been about the creatinator, and the grappling hook.
I'd love to finally see a little Sackboy carrying around a little Sackbot.

The Sony conference starts at 18:00 hours local time. That means 6PM in K?ln. K?ln lies in the GMT+1 timezone. The Netherlands are also in the GMT+1 zone. It is now 18:00 hours in the Netherlands.
Though I just saw some rumours the conference was postponed due to a fire? Probably ********, though.

If you look closely in the new trailer. At 2:13 to the left a sackboy is carrying another sackboy (or sackbot).

Music editor looks SWEET! Looks like there's "reverb send", "echo send", and there's "Musical Scale: Chromatic" or "Musical Scale: Major". I think the option below that is the note "C-note" and visuals is to distinguish the different notes or pieces. Under Instrument, there's sheet music option or the Music Box which we have now. I'm not 100% about all of these, I'm just making observations.

EDIT: Oh, and if you look closely, the object that represents the custom music is the Music Box.		2010-08-17 19:59:00

The Music Editor looks way better than I expected. And I'm a musician who are used to way more advanced applications like Steinberg Cubase. We have not seen it in motion yet, but for user generated game-music it sure looks like a revolution. It will be fun to try it and find out what we will be able to do.2010-08-17 20:03:00
