First, only one of the songs has even been mentioned by MM (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/05/20/littlebigplanet-2-the-littlebigfaq/), and that's Sleepyhead. In fact, this song accompanied the announcement trailer and isn't even necessarily in game.

Second, Infotain Me was announced by Ochre but never confirmed by MM. It has also been reported by the community jam members that MM placed temporary music in the game for demo purposes (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31283-Does-any-one-know-exactly-what-music-will-be-in-lbp2&p=546960&viewfull=1#post546960), such as to show off sackbots, etc. This is most likely why Also Sprach Zarathustra and A Fifth of Beethoven were seen in pre-alpha screenshots.

Finally, the LBP2 trailer music is just that... trailer music. It was quite common for MM to include songs that were not in LBP1 in their trailer and promo videos.

My point is, not a single one of these songs has actually been confirmed by MM to be in-game. Will some of them be confirmed? Sure. But for now it's really anyone's guess. Thus, I'm moving the thread to Speculation and Suggestions until word comes out otherwise.		2010-08-11 05:38:00

It was confirmed by rtm in the second link of my post to be in the alpha they used. The name of the song was identified in the FAQ (the first link in my post) by MM. I think it might be quite hard to identify, I mean it uses the amen break and won't get recognised by dedicated music recognition programs. Even a jungle nut like me can't know every tune and I don't know this one.

It's common for game developers to license songs that are good, but from pretty unknown bands/groups. I guess they could be cheaper in some way than lizencing a super duper famous song. Even if that's not so, it's a win for all people:

-the games gets a good blend of decent songs, not all people know anyway
-the band get's a bit of popularity
-we get to know cool new bands/songs

E.g. i never knew about Ochre before he accidantly leaked info about lbp2. Now he's one of my favourite artists. I also got to know Ladytron by accidantly stumbling about a version of "Ghosts" on my pc and i think other people will enjoy listening to other songs of the band as well when they hear it in LBP2.

This is NOT an actual song of LBP 2, and it probably has NO chance of making it in, but I think this would be cool (in an ideal world...) for after final boss or final credits (if any). Enjoy!

I was glad to hear a little bit of jungle/drum n bass in that gameplay vid! I'd personally love to hear some really gritty electro house tracks in there somewhere (similar to the feel of the bionic commando rearmed soundtrack) If not, hopefully I can just make it using some drum kits & atmospherics, if not sample recording to sequencer using some type of sample start & stop parameters, then importing it *crosses fingers* 2010-08-29 00:23:00

By the way, I've seen a lot of those techno/experimental electronic music and I wonder, would Aphex Twin be a great addition to the soundtrack with "Windowlicker"? Think about it: it's in this kind of electronic music, it has multiple phases all very distant yet very close (kinda like the orchestral songs), and finally, it's Aphex Twin! I know I'm kinda talking to a wall right now, but I stand by my point. I said it then and I'll say it now: Misteur Valaire deserves a spot in LBP2, even as DLC. It's just so much fun! I think they should go with "Gumshoe" if they could, it kinda goes in the same spirit as The Go! Team, only more techno, more party, and very memorable. Please, do it! Listen to this, please!

omg what you dont realize is Mm doesnt need to put any music in the game at all, for it cn be made in the sequencer!!! Mm does NOT need to add music, for those of you who didnt hear what I JUST said, on THIS VERY post!

there 2 songs that are missing from beta, Disco Shisco (button challenge game song, you know one from E3 imo best original song they put on beta,ofcorse it leaked via god glitch), DaVinci Tutorial IntMusic (that place it at beginning of button challenge and play only fo 5s, so it leaked via god glitch and we can hear full). It was weird, I saw Muse in LA a few weeks ago and while I was waiting to get a beer outside of the auditorium, I hear Sleepyhead up on stage. Passion Pit was opening for them. Heyyy LBPC. I noticed you could easily see what music were in LBP2 by checking out the credits, so I did so and found some neat LBP2 tunes for you! My aplologises if this have already been posted. I did try doing a search but no luck.

NOTE: ofcourse this is not the full soundtrack. There will be loads of songs from Mm's clever music duders and I'm sure theere's one or two songs I've missed. Also keep in mind that Mm might have modified the songs a bit in the final verision. maybe removed the lyrics etc.

ANOTHER NOTE: by listening to this you will spoil some sweet LBP2 music! Are you sure you don't want to wait until the game comes out and experience it in the story mode? Your choise!

I absolutely love Deodato (2006 space odyssey)! It's the perfect remix of the space odessy 2001 theme!!! It's my favorite in the game so far. I saw it in a beta playthrough of that level "lift off" and just can see tons of space games and epic cinematic endings put to this music!2010-12-16 03:39:00

I actually prefer Deodato's version, the version in LBP2 is by the Daniel Pemberton TV Orchestra. It's still good though.		2010-12-23 11:28:00

I recall, but no clue from where, that LBP1 music may not be in LBP2, nor the backgrounds, extra materials, etc.
If you do have LBP1 though, everything you've unlocked will transfer over. But if you don't, you'll just be unlocking LBP2 stuff.		2010-12-23 16:13:00
