Level creator question

How do you make it so that when a player of your level dies once it automatically takes them to the scoreboard?2010-08-10 15:01:00

The quickest way to do this is to have a sensor/key switch that activates the spawn point on the scoreboard, when you die you'll go right there.
If not that, have the last activated checkpoint moved to the scoreboard with a piston or something :l

After the player starts the level, destroy the entrance by squashing it with something heavy. Then, when the player dies, they'll be forced to spawn at the scoreboard.2010-08-11 13:23:00

After the player starts the level, destroy the entrance by squashing it with something heavy.

Alternatively you can exploit an emitter to make an entrance with a limited lifespan.


Capture an entrance.
Emit it with a short lifespan (say 2 seconds).
Immediately pause the simulation, and capture the emitted entrance.
Place it somewhere.


Probably best to place this entrance as the last thing you do, otherwise it'll vanish when you unpause the simulation in create mode.

Heres my way. 1. Take dark matter and place a square of it.2. Take cardboard and put it in the dark matter. 3. Take a protected brain and put it on the cardboard.4. The problem with the brian checkpoint as I would like to christen it, is if it is a points challenge the minimum score someone will get is 49 (because of the one death) this would mean you are giving away points before you have started the level 2010-08-12 02:38:00
