Are you using one of the pre-made turrets (if so which one), or one you've built yourself?

Well, if they have more than one brain, you have to pop all the brains before they die. If that's not the problem, then it might help if you explain the problem in a bit more detail, or publish a minimal level which demonstrates the problem.

If you do post a stage, it might help to call it "MGS", not "MSG".2010-08-10 17:07:00

I've seen this problem in a ton of stages, it's disappointing to keep firing away at a turret and not have it blow up. Hopefully more people figure out what the problem is and fix it like you have.2010-08-10 17:54:00

Looks as if the problem is that you've glued the turrets to the ground, and so everything attached to the ground now counts as a single 'creature', so nothing will be destroyed until you've killed every turret, at which point they'll all vanish, and so will the ground.

Fix by detaching the turrets from the ground. If you want to prevent them moving, glue them to a piece of Dark Matter. Make sure to glue the turret to the DM, not the DM to the turret, as for some reason it kills the brain.

@Anyone else: are these recent changes to brain behaviour...

I thought that brains only destroyed stuff they were attached to at the point the brain was attached?
Did gluing DM to a creature always kill the brain?

DM has always affected creature deaths, but the way it did this has kinda changed about I think. First, it was that if there was dark matter attached before adding a brain, the brain would die straightaway. I don't think that's a problem anymore, and I don't think DM has ever been able to be destroyed by brains (unless attached by string, but I may be mistaken).2010-08-11 17:11:00

I've never noticed anything like this before. Brains can kill DM, but you can't directly attach the brain to DM - there has to be another material between the DM and the brain.
