MEET LYRRAD
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=21483&d=1281405903
Lyrrad is the daring, ambitious, and sometimes humorous protagonist of ?ropulse. Raised in the beautiful and renowned city of New Ven?ro and raised by his foster brother, V?n, he would seem to be nothing more than an abandoned child who has no destiny but to live a meagre life as a peasant. Wrong.
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=21488&d=1281405906
Lyrrad is one of the few sackpeople on the planet that can use the legendary ?ropulse energy. He, like his ?ropulse wielding brethren, can bend the energy to his will. One of these uses is to perform to an elevated form of Parkour/ Freerunning known as ?robatics.
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=21485&d=1281405904
The energy is used to accelerate movements and tricks. Another use of this powerful energy source is combat. ?robats can form the energy into numerous versatile melee forms. The most common offensive form though is ?ropulsars, condensed energy formed into a ball to blow a hole in whatever is in the ?robat's sights.
NEW VEN?RO

The Guild, Lyrrad's home
Some call it the genesis of the world of ?ro.

It is known to be the first district ever to be established on the planet. Its structures are old and made of a very primitive but sturdy stone due to the fact that no metal was ever discovered on ?ro.

No, the attached links to images work, but they don't match your attempted embedded images. Can you really see them? For example, you are linking to the following image:

http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=21464&d=1281388891

But that doesn't lead anywhere.

Looks FANTASTTIC, but I was just wondering what type of game is this...
Is it a Open World RPG, or a Free Roam level with multiple missions (kinda like GTA/Assasins Creed)?
And I think this mightve been asked on your other thread but what are you using in this level that you could not do in LBP?
Besides the the genral Sackbots, and Cinema.
Looks awesome but I'm very greedy and I want more!!

I don't mean to be needy but you should definately consider releasing this to the public so people can try its awesomnes before hand, somehwat like a BETA, I'm sure theyll be some good feedback for it !
And all I have to say right now is Wow. This is going to be amazing with LBP2's lighting effects and etc.

First off, thanks for commenting The game will be a sandbox free roam adventure much like AC2 and Infamous. I may decide to add rpg elements depending upon whether or not I can fit the logic into the game ( which I most likely will ) What you are seeing now is the just landscapes and characters without the gameplay mechanics. I need sackbots, controllinators, movers, cinematic cameras, the new logic tools and holo-material( ?ropulse energy ) to really bring the game to life.

Its cool, but trust me you won't want to play it now because, well its unplayable lol. Without the power of ?ropulse energy, you can't really navigate the environments. e.g. Traversing wide gaps, flipping, pulling yourself up on ledges, fighting, etc. I if you want the real parkouresque experience, then you're gonna have to wait a bit. Trust me though, it WILL be worth it.

It looks great. With all the new features in LBP2 you could actually make a really cool game. How many levels will there be and how long will they be? I'd like to know, because if you plan to make a huge game, have you got ideas to keep it interesting?2010-08-10 11:31:00

Thanks for commenting . It will be about 3 to 5 levels long for each one. I plan on making 3. Don't worry, I have written out most of the story and it will be pretty deep with a couple of added twists and turns here and there.

Interesting. So, if I got it right, 3 to 5 levels per city? Correct me if I didn't get it right. Will be one of the first games I'll check out in LBP2.2010-08-10 11:52:00

I think you should reveal the characters that dont have voices first.
People might be interested in them and might ask if they can voice that character.
Try a female character next time.

Each city would count as somewhat of a level but some cities have different parts and expansions.

Thanks for commenting Odd I was really going for the Renaissance look in this one, but dont think that it will be the only style to appear in the game.

Wow, that is, indeed, a really nice looking environment.

All too often LBP cities or towns are a bit... flat and plain. (Not all, but alot.)
This on the other hand, looks... Lived in. There's a nack for creating an interesting civilisation theme, and you have it.

Thanks I REALLY wanted to step it up for European environments in LBP. Glad to know that I achieved that effect.

oh, oh, oh wow! great job so far, also just wondering. but have you thought about the controls?
ex: x = jump
x + x = double jump
x + x + o = forward flip
x + x + o + o = double forward flip
if its posible of course.. and if needed can I design the controls with some help? this project is amazing and i'd love to be a little part of it (be it stage props or anything else you can come up with)
also... I need to end with the word: amazing.

Yeah I know >_>... Hopefully they will reconsider that concept. I know ALOT of people are going to grow tired of it. Hope that that was one of the reasons that the game was pushed back ^^

Yeah, I hope they do make it possible for sackbots to go through water. If they don't the waterwyas you've built for Aeropulse could be completely ruined I know it fits the robot character for them but still.2010-11-09 23:50:00

Have hope, i suspect that they make sackbots sensitive to water because they don't have ready AI for water that is complitly different control scheme and teaching them swim is not impossible thing... but we might (if not surly) not see it in release2010-11-10 02:26:00

Someone asked me to record this level, so I have, and it's now up on youtube;

I didn't really know if there was a real exit, but I thought I showed the majority of the level, so I exited out. Hopefully this was how it was supposed to end.
