oldage found this recently, thought I'd post it, pretty cool.

The site has been launched. *giddy*

Further info: http://www.incgamers.com/News/24462/killzone-3-beta-planned

A multiplayer beta for Killzone 3 has been planned by Guerrilla Games.

The website allows you to log in using your PlayStation 3 ID, however it will only let you join if you’re apart of the beta scheme.

No details on how you can sign up for the eagerly anticipated beta have been released however an announcement at Gamescom is expected next week.

With PlayStation Plus owners being promised exclusive early beta access to games could this be the first title to follow this feature? If so better get saving them pennies to pay for the ?39.99 GBP subscription fee that comes with PS Plus.

It is a shame about the requirement though.

I would love to be in the beta but I wouldn't pay for plus just to get in.2010-08-09 15:00:00

That would be funny... because essentially playing the beta is DOING THEM A SERVICE. They should be paying the testers, not the other way around.

It's like making a prostitute pay you for the privilege of bending over backwards for you.

I'm a tester but will probably be under NDA. I just hope they fix the controls. I thought KZ2 was absolutely terrible.2010-08-09 15:28:00

I liked killzone 2's controls when i made l1 for aim, I just thought the aiming felt a little sloppy so I hope they have improved that.

Umm, did anyone know you could CHANGE DA CONTROLS?2010-08-09 18:24:00

You can't change the heavy feel to it. You can only change the aiming speed which is NOT a constant speed like in MW (which is what I want). The aiming builds up speed as you look around. I can't stand it.2010-08-09 18:29:00

I think they are talking about the "slowness" of the controls.
couldn't really change that except for sensivity.

I'm completely fine with the KZ2 controls though, they added something to the game.

Was playing KZ2 the other day, found out a good and effective tactic that helped with the controls feel, just using the knife, no aiming required, just using the knife made it soooo much easier. 2010-08-09 18:33:00

Oh dear god, just no.
This is what I feel most players do with K2 who don't like the controls. They pick it up, say it's not like MW2 and put it down again. It did take me a small while to get used to it, but after a while the controls were second nature and not a problem. Infact I preferred them tbh, it pulled the game away from the 'twitch shooter' machanics while still not feeling like it takes a ridiculous amount of bullets to kill (ie BFBC2... though that game is amazing). I enjoyed K2's online mode more so than most other shooters out there. It was very well done and had tons to unlock. I hope the beta is for PS+ users, as that would make me a happy bunny

Alot of control schemes aren't like MW2. But it doesn't matter for me since I can learn the new controls easily and I have MW2 for the PC anyway... (That was before I got my PS3)
