My friends and I were talking about it in create mode when we were playing LBP this one time and they tried to explain to me every single detail that goes into a steam punk lvl that makes it look like what it is. But i never really got it, I mean I've SEEN steam punk lvls before but I'm not sure how certain things would look like and how I would change it so it would fit in with the theme. For example, a car, how would I make that look steam-ish? any Ideas?

Check out "The Steampunk Samurai" by Gevurah22, it is a good example of Steampunk in LBP. Personally I love Steampunk, it makes for some brilliant designs.

hmm, i know what you mean, i see things all the time in all these weird styles but when trying to make them myself it doesnt always go to plan. personally i prefere cyberpunk to steampunk but the same thing happens to me either way, the other day i was trying figure out how to make a decent looking skyline in it.... it was also really hard to come up with mad max like raiders too for a desert level i wanted....

To me, "Steampunk", in a nut-shell, is a blend of early Industrial Age technology mixed with the style of the Victorian-era, favorably Britain (or any other suitable style like post-apocalyptic or natucal). Lots of shiny brass, gauges and goggles. Oh, and steam. Plenty of steam. Check out levels like "Industrial Revolution" and the "Zephyr Valley" series if you want a good sense of what steampunk is.
