Will You Still Get LBP?

so all of u EU members.... due to the delay of LBP i must ask... how many of You will still get the game??? y or y not??

im in the us so i no im not feeling ur pain but honestly.... id still get it if it was delayed in the us... ithink all of u should still get LBP (*coughcoughmiffycoughcough*) altho u can completely disagree with me but just dont call me out lol

I understand Miffy's viewpoint, this is, afterall, the straw that broke the camel's back, Miffy has mentioned more than a few times how Sony have irritated him. Proud of you that you are able to take your stand for your beliefs Miffy, but also dissapointed for you.

Matt, I still haven't been able to find anything confirming our disks will work when launch rolls around as we'll have different versions to everyone else. Still, if that happens, I will be buying a second copy, so I voted yes.		2008-10-18 09:31:00

I will get it. There is no way I would pass up on it after playing the beta. Honestly, they could delay it another year and I'd still get it.

I bet he won't. See, things people don't realise is the reason I was so dependant on the original release date, is because it was on a holiday. I had a whole 11 days just to play it, with nothing interfering. But now, they've screwed it up. We won't end up getting the game until November, and then I've got exams! I'll have to spend my time revising, so I won't have much time to give to games. Exams basically up until christmas, and then, MORE EXAMS.

I wouldn't have a decent chance of playing LBP until February, which I just can't be bothered with.		2008-10-18 09:37:00

here the thing i dont get why dont they have an update to sovle the probelm instead of a recall, plus how does MM a british company understand abric, so it not their fault, they probley put it in cause it was a catchy tune or it a big seller, i dont know i havnt been longing at the charts as i love heavy rock lol,

I'm still gonna get it, but i did have the hump big style like Miff but this game has taken over my life and it's to the stage where it hurts to wait anymore (actually had a dream last night were they released the beta again as a demo and i was soooo happy lol) I couldn't even come on here for 48 hours as i was sooooo mad and that's mad for me as i live on here and virtually read every post lol
But i've calmed down a bit now and just like before i'm just counting the days till this game will be mine

I'm calling it here, Miff will be buying this game. I'm in the exact same boat as you Miff, quite annoyed as I had a whole week off too and then once I go back to college it's going to be crazy busy but there is always time for games at some point. Even if it's just an hour a week.

It just seems strange to me that all your losing out on is potentially one week of play and now your avoiding the game at all costs. It's like you only intended to play the game for that week which is pretty weird.

Although I have to ask, if you're not bothered about the game, why are you still here? I know it's a great community but it seems kind of pointless if you don't care about the game. Not that I want you to leave or anything, I'm just saying... o__o		2008-10-19 14:59:00

Of course. A week delay is nothing compared to the 2 years I've been waiting for this game. Anyone who isn't getting it due to the delay only, is definitely overly picky. There was no way for Sony or MM to foresee this and I'm just delighted that the delay is only a week.

However due to college and everything I probably will not be able to play it much until around Christmas... the good thing about that is there should be some amazing levels up by then .		2008-10-19 19:23:00

I think you should get the game though.

You really can't set aside 1 or 2 hours a day to play the game throughout your school work, exam period and or work? I doubt you'll be studying every waking hour of your life, you're going to need a break to relax and this game seems like it can do that for people.		2008-10-19 20:26:00

I am with StraightSix on this, Miffy, my Fiance' has college exams as well, but still has time to spend time with me.
That is my evidence that you wont be studying every single minute of every day.
Eventually you will run out of "busy time", and will end up LBPless.

Every single person will still get LBP. Even if they say they won't now, when Oct. 27 comes around (Or whatever it is for other countries) there isn't going to be anyone who is going to have the option of buying it, that won't just because it was delayed a week ago.2008-10-19 21:23:00

i strongly considered cancelling my pre order...
my plan was to get it a midnight luanch so heres what happened in short...

i pre ordered lbp at the closest gamestop to me in june.
i recently found out that a gamestop about 4 miles away from my house is having a midnight launch for lbp and fable 2, and the store i pre ordered at will not have a midnight launch.
i changed my pre orderes to the other store, becuase they still had room, and planned it all out how i was going to do the mid-night launch.
gamestop called me the night after i changed my pre order to let me know lbp is gonna be delayed.
i called and gamestop lemme know that there probably won't be a mid-night launch anymore because of the delay.

this is a huge inconvenience. i pre ordered at a gamestop that's within walking distance of me, and then i changed it so i could get it earlier, then sony screws me over.

i am IMMENSLY dissapointed in sony, mostly becuase their lying. theres no way they would stop the game from being launched for the reason they are claiming it to be. They could have just as easily made an update, and updated the servers, not allowing anyone with the old version to play, which means that anybody not updating to the new version which rectifies the problem would not be able to play the game. There is some other reason sony didn't want the game to be released and they got s scape goat when the guy let them know of the song lyrics. THEY JUMPED AT THE CHANCE TO DELAY IT!!!

if you read, the guy who ( let's face it, got the game delayed but for a good cause ) said something true. big corpirations never listen to the little guy. he expected what anybody would expect, a patch to be thrown in later to fix the song, but no, they stopped the presses and recalled the game for a delay. I just want sony to be honest about why they are delaying the game, and that's why i wanted to cancel my pre order. but what stopped me was mm, they truly deserve all the money they will be making and i want to contribute to them, even if it means feeding sony's addiction for money.

p.s in no way am i saying the reason the game was delayed was not important. i don't know what the lines in the song said from the quran, but i don't condone making fun of, or ridiculing any religion. i am happy they are fixing the problem, but if they really wanted the game to be out on the 21'st, it would be out the 21'st.		2008-10-19 21:37:00
