A sugeestion for the benefit of everyone
Archive: 10 posts
Hello everyone "and moderators " I have a suggestion that will come in handy for everyone who uses LBPC I have published a fair number of threads and I don't know when people actually have posted on it. I am keen to hear about other opinions and it is in my interest to reply as soon as possible to them. So my suggestion is that (if possible) when someone replies on a thread of yours or you are quoted you will get a notification in at the top of your profile list. This way people will be able to have a better discussion about the topic. Please give me your opinions on this | 2010-08-07 00:23:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |

Subscribe is good but i have never been notified to when someone had posted it only told me when I went to my subscribed thread page | 2010-08-07 00:34:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |
Subscribe is good but i have never been notified to when someone had posted it only told me when I went to my subscribed thread page Yeah, well, that's the best that can be done. You can keep track via "What's New" like I do... But if they did that for every thread you did/ every time you posted, many people would get way too many notifications, and it's really not that hard to keep track without getting a notification every five seconds :/ | 2010-08-07 00:38:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
A better way, go to your profile, and click find all started threads its below your avatar (the bigger one) | 2010-08-07 01:01:00 Author: Snrm Posts: 6419 |
Its all because it would be very spammy in the top corner of your screen having notifications over and over. Imagine being the creator of one of the threads that has over 500 posts in it, that is 500 notifications that you have received. | 2010-08-07 01:23:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
Subscribe is good but i have never been notified to when someone had posted it only told me when I went to my subscribed thread page Just go to the Settings link at the top of the page. It shows your subscribed threads. One click away is the best we're going to do. | 2010-08-07 14:49:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
You could also go to Quick Links -> My replies | 2010-08-07 15:23:00 Author: Syroc Posts: 3193 |
Well it's just not good enough! i want an audible ding! or awhooga! And every time. (Really) I'm being serious. I want to wake the neighbors with my A-whooga sized Mega-ding Jamz! | 2010-08-07 17:34:00 Author: Gravel Posts: 1308 |
Just go to the Settings link at the top of the page. It shows your subscribed threads. One click away is the best we're going to do. Under profile settings its also possible to auto-subscribe to every thread you post in. Thats what I do, then that page becomes a nice selections of threads I'm interested in. | 2010-08-07 17:45:00 Author: Mrgenji Posts: 803 |
