Why would one of the Dev's say "We're looking into it"?

Didn't Konami say it was never going to happen a while back?

http://kotaku.com/5064851/konamis-xbox-360-metal-gear-quote-was-erased

Aparantly its been changed and now reads
While making use of each platform's strong suits, we are going multi-platform from now.

I already knew about the 20-disc case thing and that it would be incredibly hard to pull off - unless they brutally cut it down, but hearing that a dev had said that left me wondering.

Funny though how they now are trying to cover it up.

Yeah, it's not going to happen any time ever. "Looking into it" likely involves them figuring out just how much they have to take out of it in order to get it to work.2008-10-17 17:18:00

It won't EVER happen.

In fact, Sony would never in their right minds allow it to happen, too much riding on it.

They are merely stating that they're going multi-plat from now on.

First

Yes too much is riding on MGS4, but so was GTA 4, DMC 4, FFXIII, and FREAKING HELL TEKKEN 6!!!

All as important as MGS4, all as exclusive to Sony as MGS4 (except GTA), and they ported...

Second:
It will never be ported! Kojima is badass like that!

Third
That pic of multi disc MGS4 gets funnier everytime

I bet they're being clever with this changing of wording, the current mgs 4 will stay exclusive but the inevitable expanded re release will be multiplatform.2008-10-18 00:46:00

This rumour has been said too many times kinda got sick of listening to it lol and plus already finished all the game and 3/4 through big boss , but still love it a top game. But ultimately would be damaging for sony but would it fit on one DVD 2008-10-18 00:57:00

I agree that it would never happen.

But, the 360 is going to copy the ps3 and be able to install parts of games onto the hard-drive, come november.

So the 360 might actually be able to handle it....but i still have my doubts about that

But to be on topic, When i get littlebigplanet, i doubt that i will touch my 360 for at least a year, much less buy a game for it

MS won't/can't allow mandatory installs, gotta compensate for them Core/Arcade owners.

Impossible. God of War is made and published by SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment of America) Santa Monica and LittleBigPlanet is currently being made by MM and published by SCEE(Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe).

I'd bet my account that it will never happen.

That's why it's not enforced, it's an option.

I already said it won't happen

but in a hypothetical scenario, those two being lost to microsoft would ruin sony.

I personally don't find any Xbox exclusives worth getting the system for. I have a PS3 and a Wii and I feel like I have everything I need. Besides, most of the "good" games on Xbox 360 usually end up going to PS3 anyway.

While it would be good for the games to be on other systems since that would mean more exposure, I'd like the PS3 to keep it's exclusives even if it were possible for them to be on Xbox.
