Dr Who Pack

Archive: 13 posts

For you americans that don't know much about Dr Who, either WATCH IT, IT'S GOOD, or look it up on Wikipedia

I was thinking of basing this pack on the new series.

I was thinking this doctor costume should be based on my favourite and best doctor (my opinion) Matt Smith, he could wear what he does in the episode, and possibly add a fez for him ;D Also, a holdable Sonic Screw Driver

Then there is Amy Pond, she could wear what she was wearing during the final 2 episodes.

And we need 2 villains for this, this obvious would have to be Darleks and Cybermen. Not to hard to make?

Levels
I was thinking it could be based where Darleks and Cyber men work together to get the doctor (or Sackboy in this case)

Level One: Earth, you start in the tardis, and walk out and you're on the streets of london, and it's a bustling city with many civilians (Sackbots) walking about. When suddenly a ship comes down a blows up some buildings, you make your way through the falling buildings and through some exciting building climbing you get onto the roof and jump onto a space ship.

Level two: On the Spaceship, so you're sneaking through this space ship and you hijack it, so this starts a space fight, you then fight incoming waves of Darlek and Cybermen space ship and you're trying to get to the mothership. You then fight one lead ship then dock on the Mothership.

Level Three: Onboard the Mothership, so you go around and avoiding Cybermen and Darleks and find out why they are working together, they both want to secretly get at each other when they are vulnerable, you then get to the bridge where they talk to you and you decide to press a button causing the Mothership to go crashing into earth, you then end up crashing in the british countryside, and you safely make it by running to a safe room while the ship is falling. (This can be some cool anti gravity moments)

Level Four: So you get out of the safety room and both of the leaders of the Darleks and Cybermen want one of you to be able to wipe out either one of their races, because you have no choice you have to choose either side, and whichever side you choose results into a RTS moment where you control the armies through the crashed ruins of the mothership to get to their leader (The leader telported you before hand) depending on what side you chose you get different endings, but in usual Doctor Who style the people you choose turn on you and fly off, and the remaining side have survivors that fly off also.

I was thinking this could involve alot of stuff from LBP2 and could show what more LBP2 can do!

The unlockable in game pack costume is the leader of whichever side you chose (you can get both by replaying the level)

Music:

Doctor Who Theme
Doctor Who Battle Music
London Street Music (Adjustable)
Doctor Who Sneaking Music

I hope people look at this and think it's a good idea

Please tell me what you think and maybe add stuff yourself!!

Ofcourse it might not happen, just like some of the other requests, but I still thought it was a cool concept to show everyone.

Person 1 walks into the room, person 2 is watching T.V

Person 1: What are you watching?

Person 2: Doctor Who

Person 1: Doctor who?

Person 2: Yeah

Person 1: What?

Person 2: No, Who!

Abbot and Costello meets British television!

All joking aside, a Doctor Who pack sounds Awesome

Hm, I thought "darlek"s are written without the "r". Or do you Brits just pronounce it without the "r"?2010-08-07 21:03:00

Daleks don't have Rs in them.

I actually already started making something like this. So no, it's not "'unlickly' to happen".
I have the Tardis and Daleks complete as of now. (Well, Tardis is just missing the Police Box sign right now). The Tardis fades in the way it does in the show, but I had to make the background all black in order to do that.
I'm obviously going to make the Cybermen sackbots.

I was also going to include weeping angels and Sontarans, and possibly some other things from way in the past.
I made a generic Doctor costume mostly based on Tom Baker, with a bit of David Tennant and Matt Smith, and the players will be the companions.

I'm not really sure if my post is relevant or if you are making this yourself, too.
Maybe we could share creations and make our own levels with them?

Jord-bord, you're thinking of Dr. Dolittle

EDIT: OH, you mean like MM make a pack. Well, sadly, I kind of hope they don't, because I'm doing it and it would destroy everything I've worked for... in the past week.
But it IS really unlikely that they would do this. There's never been a Dr.Who video game that I know of.
But hey, MM IS based in the UK.

Well it all depends on the BBC
MM is a british company ( At least I think it is) so maybe the BBC could strike some sort of deal
A BBC/MM partnership would be unreal
Think of all of the great BBC DLCS!
All we have in Ireland is RTE

I still think this is unlikely. BUT IT WOULD BE SOOOO AWESOME!!!!
Maybe though, cos BBC has been kinda following LBP like when they reported that MM had been working on LBP2 since LBP1 even came out. That was BBC wasnt it?

I would sure love to help out with you I was thinking about it in the first place, but I suppose helping make it wouldn't be too bad, you can take all the credit also, as long as you mention me in the description...
