LBP.me is for searching for levels to play, and to add to a list that'll load when you play LBP2. This sites not going away anytime soon ![]() (unless it gets shut down ![]() | 2010-08-05 07:42:00 Author: Bremnen ![]() Posts: 1800 |
I have access to the site, so trust me when I say: LBP.me does lots of things, but a forum/fansite it isn't. It's a web portal, designed to make it easier to enjoy LittleBigPlanet even when you're not at your PS3. It serves certain functions that we cannot, but on the flipside, we serve certain functions that it cannot as well. We're more complimentary than anything. ![]() | 2010-08-05 12:00:00 Author: ConfusedCartman ![]() Posts: 3729 |
When someone has reputation beyond repute, you should usually listen to them. 'Nuff said. | 2010-08-05 12:10:00 Author: moonwire ![]() Posts: 1627 |
Even if that lbp.me becomes popular I WILL NEVER leave LBPC for it. And there are many other people who think so too. | 2010-08-05 12:21:00 Author: FreeAim ![]() Posts: 2462 |
LBP.me will be a great addition (I've tested it), but we still need the fan forums! LBPC will be here still, I'm sure. | 2010-08-05 13:39:00 Author: Mugsig ![]() Posts: 85 |
That site is more of a site for players o find and advertise their levels. Let me just point out that we are a completely different site from LBP.me and no one should be worried about it becoming inactive. Trust me, This is the most active and friendly community I have ever visited. | 2010-08-05 14:06:00 Author: grayspence ![]() Posts: 1990 |
I should preface my remarks by saying I am not involved in the current LBP.me beta nor have I seen or heard a thing. But if you look at what CC' said I think you'll see the truth between the two sites. They are complimentary. Now, with that said if LBP.me gets up and running... according to plan, than I as a creator/player will have a whole lot less reason to come to this site... LBPCentral.com Grayspence has it wrong while still being right! That site is more of a site for players o find and advertise their levels. Let me just point out that we are a completely different site from LBP.me and no one should be worried about it becoming inactive. Trust me, This is the most active and friendly community I have ever visited. Players play and therefore LBP.me will help them find levels to play. 'OUR' level showcase has just become that much less important...unless you're on the spotlight team and play every level showcase thread-- most of us have found alternate ways (trusted members/friends/reviewers) to find levels... this will be doubly more so, now. Players however 'do not advertise'... creators do, and that has been the staple and success of this site. Catering to the needs of the creator. Again, if you've been around here for any length of time odds are you have some sort of LBP-network set up. This network, (your whose who of LBP), will now have the oppurtunity to work for you independently of this site. Getting your levels noticed should be that much easier... and I could see this site becoming a bit of repetition that over time- could become redundant, and not as integral, as it currently is for so many of us... The rewards of maintaining 'a strong presence here' may simply not be worth the effort if it is rewarded more generously or timely using LBP.me-- atleast in theory... that was the idea. Now where grayspence was one hundred percent right is the community aspect of the Central. We are friendly, fun, and helpful. We have games! XP, social rank... ( ah, the good times!) We are the 0.5, that turns this 2.5D game into a real world 3D experience! Into won't be going away anytime soon, but for some... I could see it becoming a whole lot less necessary. NOTE: (I mean no disrespect whatsoever to grayspence... his post was just a logical launching point for my own...) | 2010-08-05 15:54:00 Author: Gravel ![]() Posts: 1308 |
