Anyone know what that clapperboard shaped level is at 1:26? | 2010-08-04 00:53:00 Author: Sage Posts: 2068 |
At 1:50...what in the world? EDIT: Lol I see, I only saw the beginning at first...very funny. | 2010-08-04 00:58:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Anyone know what that clapperboard shaped level is at 1:26? I think thats a themed level...? Like, its a Movie-Themed level. :SH: | 2010-08-04 01:05:00 Author: ThePineapplizer Posts: 769 |
I think our creators have some aggression to get out, because they, they, they tend to make more violent levels, LittleBigPlanet is still very much a family game... Lol, it's true, 18 creators go to work with a kid game and Media Molecule gets levels like Rambo, destroyed cities, and killing cows. | 2010-08-04 01:14:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |
Anyone know what that clapperboard shaped level is at 1:26? Clapperboard Level Seals means you're watching the level, rather than playing it. So basically for cinematic cutscenes. | 2010-08-04 01:16:00 Author: Frinklebumper Posts: 941 |
Clapperboard Level Seals means you're watching the level, rather than playing it. So basically for cinematic cutscenes. Which is what I tried to say. Curse you language barriers! Or like, a language obstacle... I'm not that bad at English. :SH: | 2010-08-04 01:18:00 Author: ThePineapplizer Posts: 769 |
Wow. This is nice new footage! I'll listen to the audio later. | 2010-08-04 02:25:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
Lol, it's true, 18 creators go to work with a kid game and Media Molecule gets levels like Rambo, destroyed cities, and killing cows. I've noticed a trend in LBP around this. Community levels always seem that layer deeper. It's rare you'll find a level with similar "toy-box" design to MM's, | 2010-08-04 02:34:00 Author: Mrgenji Posts: 803 |
Oh wow, that's a first, footage I haven't seen before. XD That's great, thanks for posting! | 2010-08-04 03:03:00 Author: DaSackBoy Posts: 606 |
Very cool stuff. I've never actually seen the caterpillar demo actually work, lol. Also seeing the big fluffy dog in motion was awesome. Reminds me of the power of the controllinator. | 2010-08-04 04:00:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |

It's really interesting to think that people can actually direct an LBP movie level... O_O | 2010-08-04 04:16:00 Author: Sage Posts: 2068 |
Thanks for clearing that up Frinkle, and you too Stealthy. It's really interesting to think that people can actually direct an LBP movie level... O_O Would be pretty cool of you made an intro movie level that was linked to the main level. | 2010-08-04 04:24:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
@Fishrock123: I'm pretty sure that's how Mm's making their levels. From the looks of it, there are major intro and outro cutscenes for every location that are entire levels. | 2010-08-04 04:29:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |
@Fishrock123: I'm pretty sure that's how Mm's making their levels. From the looks of it, there are major intro and outro cutscenes for every location that are entire levels. I doubt it. They will probably make an intro to each 'theme'. | 2010-08-04 04:43:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
Did anyone else notice the music in the 1st level they were playing? | 2010-08-04 05:24:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
Does anyone know if the are going to include the community jam levels in the final game? | 2010-08-04 05:37:00 Author: Shhabbazz Posts: 746 |
1 thing 2 say really, technical issues oh dear lets hope we dont start the game with technical issuses | 2010-08-04 05:53:00 Author: ghostrider135 Posts: 259 |
Does anyone know if the are going to include the community jam levels in the final game? as cool as the levels are, i think Mm would like levels with more... polish? to include on-disc. not knocking any creation skills, but i think i heard some of them say they needed more time to really do what they wanted | 2010-08-04 05:55:00 Author: monstahr Posts: 1361 |
Don't expect the game jam levels to be on-disc, but they might just port them onto the public servers or give the creators copies to publish when the game comes out. Thanks for the video - Was awesome finally being able to see the RTS level behind-the-scenes! They've announced early on that you'd be able to create dedicated movie levels that would be purely sit-and-watch cinematics. They mentioned something early about a "5 minute limit" which I really hope isn't the case in the final release. Why limit someone like that? I think, along with the clearly-visible clapper-slate patch, each cinematic level should tell you exactly how long the run time is... If someone doesn't feel like sitting through a 10 minute cinematic, they can just see the run time and not play it. But I'm really hoping there's no 5 minute limit in place in the final game. | 2010-08-04 09:37:00 Author: Teebonesy Posts: 1937 |
Ooh I loved the Rambo intro! Also finally the caterpillar racer demo worked for once. That was barely any LBP.me footage, besides it's been a while since E3, it probably works better by now. | 2010-08-04 10:02:00 Author: Mr Nive Posts: 137 |
Ohhh, looks nice and promising... Can't wait | 2010-08-04 11:01:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
Lots of good footage there! shame about the dodgy camera from what I see LBP.me looks great. | 2010-08-04 11:41:00 Author: Matimoo Posts: 1027 |
I love the platforming dog part! I hope they make that a re-occurring gameplay sequence in the fluffy high tech levels, maybe add on a new feature to it every stage. | 2010-08-04 13:49:00 Author: olit123 Posts: 1341 |
Just to be clear, I think that is a really old build of lbp.me. Don't read too much into it. | 2010-08-04 13:53:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
I think the community game jam levels will be on the limited edition because i went to comic-con and i got to play it WITH a designer | 2010-08-04 14:06:00 Author: werty131 Posts: 66 |
Thanks for the vid' ! http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/5858/content.gif What about a kind of record tool ? A tool that we could use with anyone, anywhere, anytime. In Play or Create Mode (therefore, this tool could be a sticker we would stick on walls). Once it's stuck, the record begins. There could be another Stop! sticker that would stop the record. Then we can upload the record (as a video) on LBP.me for some level showcase. | 2010-08-04 14:13:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |

There are intro's I think. In the trailer when the Dave Inchi Badge is clicked, You can see " Da vinchi introduction" Highlighted. | 2010-08-04 17:25:00 Author: pilsburydoughboy55 Posts: 236 |
From what I know that is an old build of LBP.me, but don't worry I'm sure it will be great. | 2010-08-04 18:22:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
Theyre also Seems to be a new team system of some sort: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jsUPTS4foY&feature=related As you can see, all of the checkpoints on screen are activated and ready to be used at the same time! | 2010-08-04 20:31:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |

I think most people already new about the competitive multiplayer but team support, 2V2 could be fun. | 2010-08-04 20:36:00 Author: robotiod Posts: 2662 |
Yes, but the random checkpoint spawns as seen in the video could prove to be a great way to make randomized challenge and teleporting levels. | 2010-08-04 20:39:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |

Lool, I can confirm that the picture is a disgruntled, sleep deprived Steve Big Guns. We were all incredibly tired and I needed a boss character and Steve just so happened to be sitting beside me. | 2010-08-05 08:43:00 Author: FULLGORR Posts: 245 |
