I think our creators have some aggression to get out, because they, they, they tend to make more violent levels, LittleBigPlanet is still very much a family game...

Lol, it's true, 18 creators go to work with a kid game and Media Molecule gets levels like Rambo, destroyed cities, and killing cows.

Clapperboard Level Seals means you're watching the level, rather than playing it.

So basically for cinematic cutscenes.

Which is what I tried to say.

Curse you language barriers! Or like, a language obstacle... I'm not that bad at English.

I've noticed a trend in LBP around this. Community levels always seem that layer deeper. It's rare you'll find a level with similar "toy-box" design to MM's,

Very cool stuff.
I've never actually seen the caterpillar demo actually work, lol.
Also seeing the big fluffy dog in motion was awesome. Reminds me of the power of the controllinator.

Thanks for clearing that up Frinkle, and you too Stealthy.

It's really interesting to think that people can actually direct an LBP movie level... O_O

Would be pretty cool of you made an intro movie level that was linked to the main level.

@Fishrock123:
I'm pretty sure that's how Mm's making their levels. From the looks of it, there are major intro and outro cutscenes for every location that are entire levels.

I doubt it. They will probably make an intro to each 'theme'.

as cool as the levels are, i think Mm would like levels with more... polish? to include on-disc. not knocking any creation skills, but i think i heard some of them say they needed more time to really do what they wanted

Don't expect the game jam levels to be on-disc, but they might just port them onto the public servers or give the creators copies to publish when the game comes out.

Thanks for the video - Was awesome finally being able to see the RTS level behind-the-scenes!

They've announced early on that you'd be able to create dedicated movie levels that would be purely sit-and-watch cinematics. They mentioned something early about a "5 minute limit" which I really hope isn't the case in the final release. Why limit someone like that? I think, along with the clearly-visible clapper-slate patch, each cinematic level should tell you exactly how long the run time is... If someone doesn't feel like sitting through a 10 minute cinematic, they can just see the run time and not play it. But I'm really hoping there's no 5 minute limit in place in the final game.

Ooh I loved the Rambo intro! Also finally the caterpillar racer demo worked for once.
That was barely any LBP.me footage, besides it's been a while since E3, it probably works better by now.

I love the platforming dog part! I hope they make that a re-occurring gameplay sequence in the fluffy high tech levels, maybe add on a new feature to it every stage.2010-08-04 13:49:00

Thanks for the vid' ! http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/5858/content.gif

What about a kind of record tool ? A tool that we could use with anyone, anywhere, anytime. In Play or Create Mode (therefore, this tool could be a sticker we would stick on walls). Once it's stuck, the record begins. There could be another Stop! sticker that would stop the record. Then we can upload the record (as a video) on LBP.me for some level showcase.

Theyre also Seems to be a new team system of some sort:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jsUPTS4foY&feature=related

As you can see, all of the checkpoints on screen are activated and ready to be used at the same time!

I think most people already new about the competitive multiplayer but team support, 2V2 could be fun.

Yes, but the random checkpoint spawns as seen in the video could prove to be a great way to make randomized challenge and teleporting levels.2010-08-04 20:39:00

Not sure, but that's a CGJ level... and I'm sure MM had some EyeToys lying about.

Lool, I can confirm that the picture is a disgruntled, sleep deprived Steve Big Guns. We were all incredibly tired and I needed a boss character and Steve just so happened to be sitting beside me.2010-08-05 08:43:00
