If this thread continues to have useless spam instead of proper discussion, a mod might lock this. Like said earlier, all of the games already mentioned could get at least one GOTY title, as it is handed out by different associations. Don't be so sure the games mentioned will even get more than one - even LBP 2. However I do hope LBP 2 does well, I do want LBP to continue on.

Yeah, and then theres the goty awards here in america, everybody can make their own dang awards but Spike tv has one every year around november, uncharted 2 won last year im hoping Fable 3 will win this year. It has a lot of competition, and as much as it will be MY GOTY, I don't think it'll nab the award for many people - reviewers are likely not delving into create mode as deeply as we are. Super Mario Galaxy 2, Red Dead Redemption, Starcraft II... I think those will nab a lot of awards. Though SMG 2 will lose points because it's a sequel, despite it being basically perfect. Starcraft has a really good shot because everyone loves Starcraft. Duh. Halo Reach wasn't that much fun, for me (played the beta at a friend's house) and Fable III has a really good shot... at being disappointing.

They were overhyped, because fable had unorganized things that people didnt really enjoy going through and using, theres a whole new system, you can become king, you can control whoever you wish. you can throw people in your dungeon, you become corrupt, so your appearance becomes corrupt. ect. theres a new weapons system also, how you use your weapon and who or what you kill genuinely affects the weapon its self as you grow more good or evil and stronger and more skilled. theres even more to that than peter molyneux has even told the fable community yet and to me just the stuff he has already shown and told us is GOTY qualifying. the best thing you could do to a game is to admit your mistakes and fix them, to me there is too much old stuff in lbp 2 and not enough new stuff and i just dont think that qualifies for GOTY

Because of all the new creative systems, we can make better stuff than halo wars on the new create mode if we put our mind to it. There's things called pistons, winches and cutscene cameras. We can make all those fancy fail moves. Also, there is a thing called stickers and if your too nooby to be able to make them then you fail. Sticker making is easy and that's how to make gun skins. MEGA FAIL!

*cough* We have had video games around for around 30 years or more, *cough* deciding the Game of the millennium is a little early, yes? *cough* LBP 2 probably will win a bunch of awards, in my eyes it depends how (much) it will differ from LBP. No one likes an identical sequel (see Harry Potter games). In my eyes it looks like it has already gotten loads of new functions waiting for us, while becoming so advanced it is simple to understand. It will still keep the charm, and everything will be even more improved that the last game, (or so I believe).

If youre saying Fable 3 is an identical copy of Fable 2 you fail bigger than President Bush did, if youre saying LittleBigPlanet 2 isnt an identical copy then youre probably wrong . Too many of the old things exist in the new game, havent youve ever gotten tired of Sackboy? i have.Another Problem, its STILL rated E this is like the most annoying flaw that could exist in any game.Age restrictions make a game even better, im tired of 6 year olds making stupid H4H levels and other useless levels. Most people under 13 are just unbearably annoying. the 6 year olds in games are the ones that give 3 stars and a heart not even knowing how to use the create system or the moderation system.the 6 year olds in games are the ones who spam your levels telling you things that make you feel sad about your work and do enough stuff to the point that your really good level is useless because it has become moderated(mdaj for example).

@LittleBigEnder You need to have a good imagination to fully enjoy LBP's power. Apparently you lost most of yours playing Halo. Unfortunatly, most people don't spend as much time as we do in LBP's create mode, so they don't know its full potential. This is the only reason I think LBP2 might not win GOTY. I think it deserves it though.
