I think it means that they haven't updated LBP/downloaded the latest update for LBP yet. It happened to me once, but then I updated LBP and I was able to join my friend.

Hope I helped

This means they have an older build, aka previous to patch 1.18 and they are currently playing offline due to not having patched the game.

Hope this clears it all up.

Yea, they just put out a new update. 1.29 I think. If your version and your friends version aren't the same you can't connect. If you haven't updated today, quit the game, then sign back in and it should prompt you to do the update.2010-08-02 02:22:00

I know it's not at 1.20 yet. It either 1.18 or 1.19 (99.99999999998% sure)

No, it's 1.29. As Morgana said quit the game and play LBP again.

Anyone noticed faster servers or is it me?
