elevator help plz

Archive: 7 posts

I've been working on this for the past few days, with some friends too, with no luck :c. I'm trying to make an elevator in the 3rd layer in the back, and use an off screen searchlight to trigger the elevator, so the player wont need to push/grab anything. There are only 2 floors that the elevator uses. the tough part that I can't figure out though is having the doors only close when everyone is inside, the elevator only moving once the doors are closed, and once making it to the upper floor keeping the doors open till everyone jumps out and back in again. Im just trying to make it more convenient for the player(s) to play my level :c Any help would be appreciated and noted in the credits D (woo first post :o)2010-08-01 22:05:00

oh ya, I checked out the packs before I posted this thread, and tweaked some of the elvs on there and stuff, but originally, I wanted the doors to be on the floors themselves, and not tied to the elevator, but slidedrum convinced me not to do that :c2010-08-02 15:33:00

I don't see the problem with doors on the floors, honestly; you could just open/close all of them simultaneously, regardless of the floor the elevator is at2010-08-02 15:57:00
