| The developer says it will be announcing its next game "sometime between now and the Penny-Arcade Expo over Labor Day weekend." That's good news for fans of the studio behind the Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series, but much better news for anyone going to PAX 2010. | For the record, I bet it's the new IP they're working on. BTW, I didn't know so many people liked resistance. :o Multiplay is fun, but I thought the story was pretty average. | In all honesty I would prefer an entirely new IP. I love R&C, and enjoyed Resistance 1 (I happen to think Resistance 2 was terrible for a variety of reasons... I wasn't too impressed. I was so excited after having fun with the beta, but then just meh)... But, I would love to see something new from Insomniac. (I can take him or leave him) They would be stupid to ignore the story/cutscenes (one of the great things about R&C), I'm sure neffy as a good guy will have some sort of relevance. Its not a third-person shooter anymore... :kz: And, I was really shocked when Neff showed up as one of the dudes jumping around platforms. I was like, "Is that Nefarious...?" I dont think it makes sense... I feel Insomniac just felt "Oh hey, reoccurring characters should be in this 4-player game, so we need one more good guy! Wait! We have Dr. Nefarious! Yeah! | About Ratchet & Clank visual style (from Insomniac): Hey guys...to answer your question about the different style... With the addition of everyone playing on one screen...some characters were a little harder to distinguish than others, for example, Clank was too tiny on the screen, Nefarious too thin. Our character artist over in NC spent a considerable amount of time tweaking each character to look different while still keeping the group look harmonious.
