Since their hasn't been any thread about this yet, I thought I'd make one. To put it simple another exclusive sony franchine, Tekken 6, is now going to appear to the 360. Well, another one bites the dust... also delayed until fall of next year. So much for getting it this christmas... (hey I'm at 666 again...)

Well, I've never been a big fan of Tekken, but Sony really need to get their ***** in gear, or else M$ will end up with all our beloved series. Hearing about Tomb Raider Underworld was bad enough, but they're going by the minute... Oh yeah, talks about MGS4 too, I couldn't believe it.

Well, another one bites the dust... also delayed until fall of next year. So much for getting it this christmas... (woohoo 666 again!) is that unreleased or is it Dark Resurection? Gratz on 666! I feel okay about it, teken is one of those really modest games that kinda deserve more attention, and I don't think it will make 'xbots' brag.

what can we retaliate with? Gears 2 comes to PS3. Oh and you guys can have Halo 3 too I guess But wait, whats that one from the makers of half-life where you can play as the zombies? Left 4 dead? Thats already coming out on the PS3 right? Twas originaly only for 360, yes?

I've only button mashed my way through Tekken 3. The age of big exclusives is coming to an end the games are just too expensive. The only exclusives there are now are first/second party or a third party title that the console manufacturer has funded.

PlayStation 3 Exclusives Stolen by Xbox 360 Assassin's Creed Devil May Cry 4 Fatal Inertia Final Fantasy XIII Armored Core 4 Grand Theft Auto 4 Tekken 6 Total of 7 points Pretty even, now lets add in the hard hitters... FF XIII, GTA IV, Tekken 6, DMC 4, has a cult following so they should be worth 2pts. Assassin's Creed is a huge system seller so it should be 2 pts as well. hmm 12 points of cheapness... so pretty much M$ has done strategic cheapness and stole hard hitting franchises, while Sony is well...Sony, most of the ports are done because EA likes porting things.... But really, with Tekken gone, all of Sony's old allies and supporters have crossed the line. Kojima is the only loyal one left....

No surprised at all, seeing as SCIV sales were better on the 360. But this just proves that Sony was correct when they said 3rd-party exclusives are becoming less and less common and in order to stand out you need more in house developers to make 1st party games, which is what they have done. I hope you 360 owners have an Arcade stick because using that D-Pad is horrible >_>.

My Opinions: Sony stole: Left 4 Dead (Not any more. PS3 port has been cancelled. May be picked up by EA, but if it is, it's likely to be as poor quality as the Orange box. Expect major framerate issues) Ace combat 6 (Not my kind of game, but there you go) Bioshock (system seller, but its a year late. Still worth buying though.) Lost Planet (Poor, poor quality game with a poor story, I really didn't enjoy it) Overlord (Good game, hadn't known it was supposed to be an exclusive, but a good win) Postal III Eternal Sonata (system seller? Really? I thought sales were really pretty poor for this one? Again, opinion, but last I checked, sales weren't great.) Two Worlds (sucks -1) (Agreed!) World in Conflict: Soviet Assault (Haven't heard of this one) PlayStation 3 Exclusives Stolen by Xbox 360 Assassin's Creed (Brilliant game, a good steal, because it meant I got to play it!) Devil May Cry 4 (An average steal. It's got a big following, but the fact that the second half of the game is a copy paste of the first half was a real let down.) Fatal Inertia (Poor WipEout clone) Final Fantasy XIII (Probably the best win MS will have) Armored Core 4 (Meh) Grand Theft Auto 4 (Not necessarily a win in that it's not the first GTA on a MS system, but I will give you that it would have been a big coup for Sony to have had exclusivity, instead, MS got exclusive downloadable content) Tekken 6 (Back in the day I thought Tekken was special, now I see it as just another beat-em-up. But, it's still got a following, and the superior online system of the 360 means owners of both (I think) are more likely to buy it on the 360.) Personally, Microsoft have done a much better job at pinching exclusives so far. But, hand it to Sony, one on your list, the next Dead Rising, should be a great game, and with the PS3's superior processing power, will probably be the superior version, unless they end up implementing a really cool online mode.

I also agree that some of the franchises it has kept exclusive are great. What I can't agree with is that MS have just rested on their laurels. Blue Dragon, Dead Rising (now been ported, but was created for a MS console) Castle Crashers Crackdown Infinite Undiscovery Kameo Lost Odyssey Saints Row Scene it? Too Human Undertow Viva Pinata Have all been created for the 360 and are not based on previous IP. To be honest, what I am trying to get at is that this generation is the in my opinion, the best generation for games. I don't say that because it's the latest. Before that, my favorite generation was the Mega Drive/SNES generation, followed by the Playstation/Sega Saturn N64 generation. I really wasn't that wowed by many of the new titles in the last gen.

Personally I bought the PS3 originally for the exclusive games that it did have before the porting jobs and multi-platform releases but then I do have the X360 and the Wii but for Sony it has to hurt to lose such usual sytem sellers and exclusives which really was the base for the Playstation brand. Afterall look at all what Sony has achieved and to gradually be losing the games you would definitely think they would be having exclusively would have affect on any company . But like already said in this forum Im not sure about Tekken's fanbase and that how it would affect them
