B-Movie Mania!

I don't have a title for it yet, but I recently started work on my next level. I don't want to give too much away, but it's an homage to the UFO B-Movies of yesteryear, complete with b&w camera, hokey special effects, and over-the-top dialogue. It should be a hoot!

I know that this can't be an untapped resource for creative level designing though. I've tried searching for similar levels, but have no idea what the ones that are out there might be named, so the search hasn't turned up much (except for the lovely LBPC Spotlighted "Planet X").

So my question is: Can anyone direct me to some levels that might be similar to what I'm trying to make here? I don't want to rip ideas from anyone... Quite the opposite. I want to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Also, playing within the genre I'm creating in helps keep the creative juices flowing.

I doubt many people have that level idea, it seems very complex, dont worry about "stepping on others toes" just make your level the way you want to 2010-07-31 23:31:00

Thanks, Snrm! That's pretty much what I'm doing.

So far I've introduced the story and gotten the ball rolling on the action. It is complicated... Uncle Spooky's Mad Manor was my most complicated to date, but I still knocked it out pretty quickly. Less than a week.

This one's progressing at the rate of about one event or scene per play session. It's going to take a bit longer. So far, though, I'm extremely pleased with the results! Patience will be a virtue on this one, but I can't wait til you can all play it!!		2010-08-01 02:14:00
